Abingdon New Testament Commentaries: Mark Paperback – Illustrated, October 1, 2011

This is a fine commentary. It was assigned for a graduate course on the gospels and the substance of it is very good. Unfortunately, the Kindle version is rife with typos and omissions that prove extremely confusing. The arguments set forth in the commentary often rely on examination of the biblical Greek, and the thrust of those arguments due to these omissions is often muddled and several times completely undecipherable. Buy it in paperback.

Insightful, thought provoking and theologically informative. Black does a marvelous job of his commentary and hypothesis of this Gospel's controversial ending. A must read for serious Bible Students
