Very strong very useful but watch out for pesky stickers and tape and check your sizes
For long term storage I find these boxes to be probably the best of their sort around. They are very strong and made of that good quality reassuring firm but soft to the feel plastic (I have no idea of technical descriptions that would be apt here) rather than the very hard plastic that initially gives an impression of strength but which ultimately reveals itself as brittle and snaps or breaks under pressure! These are much better than that. They are stackable on top of one another but note they do not nest when empty. The blue handles that secure the lid do not fit tightly and they fall down easily unless the box is very full and hence the lid under just the right amount of pressure (too much and the lid won't fit) to ensure a tight fit. But this is a problem with all Really Useful boxes I find (I have many of various sizes). It can be annoying on smaller boxes but I can usually live with this.If you intend storing files in these boxes, check carefully you buy the right size. This particular box will accommodate A4 sized files only. They are great for my many A4 sized lever arch files but they won't take my spring coil flat transfer files or the suspension files they sit in. Almost all such files are FOOLSCAP (look on any stationery site and you'll be hard pressed to find such files in A4 size). For these you'll need a bigger box.I score these boxes highly but they would have got a FIVE were it not for the fact that four of the eight boxes I purchased had an A5 sized sticker on the lid addressing the boxes to the Amazon depot in Coalville which are IMPOSSIBLE to remove without a substantial effort of time and hot water and maybe a knife. The other four had the lid taped down with masses of aged and decaying sticky tape which broke easily when pulled off and left pieces stuck on the box which one could not lift and, where it did lift, left a horrid sticky residue - again virtually impossible to remove. I gave up trying to make the boxes look pretty and, if this kind of thing offends you, you need to look elsewhere to buy them. You have to wonder at the mentality of people who think it's OK to put stickers, labels or tape on products knowing that it will require huge amounts of time and patience to get them removed.

4 boxes arrived with crack or broken parts
The boxes themselves are very good, seem robust, stack well and are the perfect size for arch-lever folders. However, of the 8 I ordered, 4 of them were cracked, or had pieces broken off.Amazon returns offers a printable label - but not postage-paid. They are very bulky items. It's lock-down and so far has been very difficult to get to the post office with 4 very large, bulky storage boxes that do not all fit in my car. I would like to have had a) postage for free and b) the option of a courier to collect them. Some of the reviews I read mentioned that sometimes the boxes turned up broken. I was very disappointed to have the same experience - perhaps they keep on sending out the broken ones to new customers instead of taking them out of circulation!

Arrived warped & scratched.
I ordered this box in order to archive research material using A4 suspension files. Sadly, the long side walls of the box were bowed inwards meaning files wouldn't hang properly. In addition, the lid had a number of scratches across the top. This has obviously not gone through any quality control checks. I've had to return this & hope the replacement box is in a better state and fit for purpose when it arrives.

No handles😕
Love, love, love this box.But ......no handles supplied. The blue clip up handles are not there. Have tried and failed to get in touch with customer service. Don't want to return the box it's a waste. The box it self is great I just wish it has the handles. The advert didn't say supplied without handles, so was very disappointed when there were none.

Strong and robust storage solution
I love these boxes, they are a good size, very well made, sturdy, and stackable. I use them for storing files in my office and they take standard A4 ring binders easily. The clips keep them closed and they don't slip when stacked due to the recess in the lid. The reinforced corners protect them from knocks too. Highly recommended, much better value than the cheaper single thickness boxes.
