To start off, these are branded Amass. They look like the real deal but it's weird it wasn't mentioned on the ad (maybe I missed it). But they certainly are good quality connectors. As others may have mentioned, connecting the male and female parts together whilst soldering one side is a great way to help dissipate the heat and prevent the one side connector from melting. This also means if you did get them too hot, the pins shouldn't move much as they're held together by other mating connector. Obviously, when using the opposite connector during soldering, use one that is unused and not already soldered to something.One noteworthy thing I found was the -ve pins are dead center of the connector. So once the wire is soldered on, it can be hard to snap the protective grey cover over. Flattening the wires a little and being careful with how much solder you put on should prevent issues here though - although it is close. Speaking of those grey covers, they are great! No need for heat shrink. If I remember correctly, they have a partition to ensure fray strands from either wires cannot come into contact with each other. They also greatly increase the surface area for you to grip the plug.Lastly, I have found power transmission to be perfectly ample running 2s 50C batteries. The connectors hardly get warm and there is never an interruption in power. The only reason for not being 5 stars would be because of the purchase options. It's a 10 pack of male and female ends. The majority of buyers probably need only one, maybe two at most should they mess one up. Additionally, many people only need the male connectors for their RC as the batteries are already T plug/Deans - usually the motivation to buy these in the first place. I'm aware many people use these for quick disconnects in other scenarios, but the lack of other purchase options is a bit lame.

Not much to go wrong, soldered easy, and the cover attaches securely.

These are awesome for the RC cars. I put them on all my RC’s. With the grey extension it makes it easier (especially for kids) to unplug the batteries without yanking on the wires and helps protect the soldered joints.

These work perfectly with my original Deans connectors (unlike the first set I purchased from another supplier). The wire covers work great too and the little extra size makes them easier to disconnect. Thanks!
