I've been buying this for a decade, at least. It's just GOOD. Sulfate free, rich lather, tingly feeling. Refreshes and calms my frequently angry scalp. Lovely clean, bouncy hair. No nasty fragrance to give me a headache. You do need quite a bit. Three full pumps for my sometimes oily scalp. My husband and adult son use it too, partly because they like it and partly because the "manly" fragrances in the type of 7-in-1 products they would choose for themselves make me literally unable to sit in a closed vehicle with them and I have banned all such products from the house.

I've been looking for a organic hair shampoo, paraben free, sulfate free, and not like water! This brand is all that PLUS ANIMAL CRUELTY FREE!!! I love this brand now and my go to, that's why I invested in this gallon size! This tea tree oil infusion shampoo is great! Gives a cooling tingle feeling in the scalp and tea tree oil promotes hair growth which is a bonus because I have thin hair and who doesn't want more hair? I use this product every time I wash my hair and I also bought the body wash from this brand but the conditioner isn't as moisturizing as I would like. I have thin long straight hair (Chinese). Oh fun fact after a few months of using this product my hair grew like weeds! But everyone is different just a reminder. **UPDATE December 2017 It’s been a year or so since I bought this gallon shampoo and it’s still amazing! Love that it has tea tree oil because it helps manage the ph level on my scalp and help promote hair growth! I did got bored with this shampoo due to the smell. But totally regret it and reminded me why I love this shampoo!! Used another brand of sulfate free shampoo yes it left my hair smelling nice however my scalp didn’t feel as clean. I love the tingling feeling on my scalp with this shampoo (from the essential oils) 1) I know it’s working 2) I know my scalp will be clean. I have oily hair and I wash it twice a week but since I cut my hair shoulder length to donate it’s harder to just do a updo when my hair gets oily. 3) hair growth!! For me 1 inch each month!!! This shampoo is just awesome and really helped with my dandruff and itchy scalp.

Update: last order came leaking and miscolored. Nervous to use. To start, let me say that I got this product for my scalp issues. I have a lot of itching and thick spots of skin on my scalp. I have tried various things and all seem to help but not enough to relieve the symptoms. I started using this shampoo almost a month ago. First, I really like how shiny and soft my hair is. I have extra time in the summer so I have upped my hair care routine but, I do think the shampoo has helped. My scalp is A LOT better. Almost completely better, but I do have minor flare ups especially after a super hot workout. The one thing I struggle with is the strong smell.I bet many will like it but I’m a bit sensitive to tree tea oil types smells and this reminds me of that.

I have fine, thinning 2c/3a curls. I also struggle with an itchy scalp, and I don't use silicones on my hair as it tends to make my hair greasy looking. After seeing a dermatologist who recommended a shampoo to deal with the itching, it was never intended to be used daily, so I wanted something that would support my scalp health inbetween washes with the medicated shampoo. After following a few curly influencers, I decided to give this a try. The ingredients aren't perfect, but they're a lot better than what's out there, and the price point can't be beat. It usually takes me two applications to get the tingly feeling on my scalp (lather, rinse, repeat) but by the second wash, my hair feels clean. My scalp itchiness has reduced to almost totally gone. The bottle indicates that the shampoo is more on the clarifying side of things. I wouldn't call this a clarifying shampoo, but it does the job nicely. The Tea Tree conditioner is very nice as well and my hair has responded well to it also. If you're looking for a budget option for your curly hair, with added scalp health benefits, definitely give this one a try.

Great product! Very refreshing!

First of all the packaging, shipping and delivery were above expectations. The two bottles of shampoo were very effectively wrapped to prevent any leakage which I loved. This IS A BIG PLUS FOR ME!!! Secondly, this Giovanni Tea Tree Shampoo is the one and only shampoo I am able to use for my itchy scalp. I have no idea why I suddenly developed this problem in my old age. No flakes or dandruff and no oiliness do I have! Just itch the day after I shampoo. In any case I highly recommend this product. My hair is squeaky clean, shines and my scalp is invigorating during my shampoo. The scent is very nice as well.

I really loved this product the first time I used it so have returned to purchase again. This time however the bottle has arrived and it seems a different colour? The shampoo has more of a brown colour to it which it didn’t have last time. Have the ingredients changed? Why am I receiving two different looking bottles of the same shampoo?
