Time to Strap Up
You know what's funny? Watching professional photographers shooting with their camera straps dangling and getting in the way. If you're not going to wear your camera around your neck, then why bother with a strap? Photographers will argue till they're blue in the face, but the honest truth is that it's not doing you any good if you're not using it. I'm one of those guys. A professional photographer who hates camera straps. When I'm out on a shoot, I usually will wrap my camera strap around my wrist a couple of times to get it out of the way and give me the added piece of mind that if I accidentally dropped my DSLR, I'd be able to catch it. Then one day I had an epiphany. Why not ditch the strap and get a wrist strap? This is the one I bought and it's great. Comfortable to wear all day long and it has a clip which detaches if you want to ditch the strap when you're working on a tripod. It's thick enough and the strap secure enough to easily support the weight of a DSLR. Personally, I'm shooting with a Canon 5D-Mark III. I have every confidence that this strap will keep my beloved DSLR from crashing to the ground if I accidentally dropped it. My only complaint is that your wrist will get sweaty if you wear this for an extended period of time. But every camera strap will do that, no matter what it's made out of. This strap is a nice, breathable, stretchy, foam-esque material and you quickly forget you have it on. But the best part of all? I have ditched the camera strap!

Hot but secure and handy
I like this wrist strap a lot, I am pretty happy with this purchase. Pros: very secure - your camera is not slipping off adjustable - if you clamp down that that adjustment it would be hard for someone to rip this out of your hand (except for the buckle) lightweight strong fabric well made fits just about any camera Nice and short so it is not in the way or dragging around cons: hot - this thing is gonna' make your wrist sweat, but for me it was worth it because I wasn't afraid of my camera getting stolen when clamped down snap - the snap is a pretty good idea in theory, but I can't see myself actually using it, it would leave the strap part on my wrist which would be a little weird feeling, plus I can see myself getting confused and dropping the camera thinking it was still secured to my wrist. The other bad part about the snap is someone could easily undo it and steal your camera right out of your hand. I put some tape over the snap to make this more difficult and I feel better about it now. I love using this thing, the long neck straps kind of drive me crazy because they are all over the place and I put my cameras in little bags all the time. This strap is nice and short and fits in the bags and pockets well. I use it in parallel with a camera clip on my x100 so I can clip the x100 to my belt and ride my bike with it, this strap is nice and short so it does not hang low.

Good Basic Strap
Strap was purchased to replace a neck strap provided with a Canon G11 digital camera. I do not like anything hanging around my neck that has any weight. The camera is heavy enough that a skinny strap used for the small point-n-shoot cameras would not offer adequate security. As other reviews has described, the plastic snap connector adds no value and perhaps is a negative feature. Another consideration is the size of the connecting ribbon cord to the camcorder or camera. This braided cord is substantial, about 3/8" x 1/8", not a weak link in the strap assembly. The negative side of this is its size is just big enough not to fit through my camera's strap loop. I have cut down a plastic electrical cable loop to use as an interface between the camera's loop and the braided cord. The plastic cable loop has holes for a screw that I used to attach the cord. The cable loop is white so I dyed it black with fabric dye. Functions well and looks very good. Overall, the strap provides a good, non-slip feel. It's elastic wristband is comfortable and has a sliding, plastic adjustment to tighten the strap for smaller wrists. During warmer weather the strap makes my wrist sweat. The inside of the strap gets wet, but dries quickly. I have used this camera a lot during warm weather, sweated a lot onto it, but it doesn't stink. I could wash it. The look is very utilitarian. The photo is accurate.
