The front light is exceptional with bright and dim. The side light is not quite as useful it is not bright enough for reading let's say, the side light does illuminate a fairly large area just not at very high lumin maybe 3 foot candles. Good enough to find your clothes and see color but not bright enough to use as a reading light. Light lasts a fairly long time on a charge. Using the battery as a charger, it is fairly small but would allow you to make calls on the phone in an emergency. Solar, can be used to top off or extend the battery life but charging the battery fully is something like a 2 day deal not worth using unless you have no choice. The flashlight itself is very well constructed. I do believe it is water resistant but I am not willing to see if it is water proof. Now why would I give it 5 stars. I feel this is a flashlight to be used in an emergency. It is excellent for this purpose. The battery, the sidelight. The flashing to temporary blind an attacker, flashing red for emergency locator are added stuff which could be useful if needed so just add to the rating but if taken away would not degrade the primary use of the flashlight.

This is a great LED rechargeable flashlights. The light is super bright and the battery can last for long time. The body is made of metal and it has a built-in rechargeable battery and including the standard USB micro cable. It also can be charged by using the solar panel. This flashlight has multiple mode to fit for different jobs, and it also has magnet and compress. If you need some new flashlights with good quality ,I recommend this for the price.

To seems to be a good product for the price. It'll definitely be a good thing to have in an emergency. The reason I took off one star is because the compass that comes with it is defective. It doesn't work at all. I think it would be a great item to have in your car.

The original I bought years ago was so great it survived water submersion. The second I bought to replace that when it died was garbage. Would not hold a charge after a week of use. Utter disappointment. Wish I'd have returned it. Don't buy. Nothing else matters when you can't even get the thing to hold a charge.

This is a very powerful flashlight and has some great features. I like the hammer end to break a car window, of emergency exit as well as the safety belt cutter. The solar recharging is a plus too.

Ordered two, one for me and the other for my son. The Flashlights don't have the XRES logo as depicted in the pictures online. Secondly the Compass(es) don't work at all. True North keeps changing, as seen in picture they are lined up exactly, but True North is pointing in different direction. The expectation is the compass works - vs just for looks. in my opinion this is FALSE Advertising. Turned it on and it works- still need to check/test/confirm the other features that were advertised... will update this post accordingly.

Great for camping, home use, or just keeping it in your car, but didn’t fit my tactical need at all. Well, no one actually promised it would be a tactical light 😎 Overall it”s a great item to have!
