Looks OK, Low-Quality Product
I purchased this thinking it would look great, and in the pictures it looks like a decent piece. Overall, I think I wasted my money.Cons- Made almost entirely of ultra cheap, chunky OSB plywood that has a sticker-like veneer that is easily damaged (see the two scratches that are already there in the pics?). It looks cheap. I will never try it, but probably 30 seconds with a non-coastered glass and you'd have a forever warped surface. As is, the slightest scratch/pressure damages the plasticy surface. This is definitely not built to last.- The vertical gold stripes on the door fronts are just beveled grooves with gold paint, not real metal, and the paint is not even well done -- there were spots that were still black and spots of gold paint that went beyond the groove. I will have to go to the store and get some black and gold paint to fix it.- Quite a complex build that took a while to put together.- The holes needed to attach the draws to their metal sliders were drilled in the wrong location, so I had to drill my own holes. The chunky MDF did not hold up well to drilling and the inside of the drawer splintered splintered a bit. Then, it was really, really hard to get the screws into the metal slider screw holes because the screws are just long enough to reach the hole from the inside of the drawer through the side wall and have to be angled perfectly. Eventually I did it, but between the drilling, lining up, and screwing, this added at least 2 hours to the build time and lots of frustration.- The drawer bottoms and dresser back panel are made of very thin fiber board.- The drawer mechanism also feels cheap.Pros- The legs are sturdy and have a bright gold look to them. FYI, this is not a brassy gold color, if that is more what you are looking for. This is a very bright yellow gold.- Looks OK overall -- so, as long as you do not get up close to it and/or interact with it, you probably would not notice how cheaply made this thing is.
