Spy Hunter - PlayStation Vita

Great addition to the Spy Hunter franchise and a very fun game to play on the Vita once you get the hang of it. Touch controls are flawless. I've read other reviews and people were saying the "steering" in the game suck because you control the car with the left (analogue) stick which also controls "rear view", however, you can go into [settings] and select [controls] and switch on "dpad" so that you can control the car with the dpad. You can also use "motion controls" to steer but its a bit hard to get accustomed to. Also I HIGHLY recommend the "CTA" grip for your original model Vita or the "NYKO" grip for the slim Vita. Those grips indefinitely enhance your gameplay experience and hand grip/placement while playing. Especially if you have big hands. Still on sale on Amazon. Very fun and "easy" game to get into. If you're into "trophies" it's easy to get the trophies in this game. If you're a collector, this is a must have for your Vita library. It's the almighty classic SPY HUNTER!!

I was a little skeptical about this game even after reading the mostly positive reviews here, but i have to say it's quite good. It really shines as a portable game. The missions aren't too long, good for short spurts of play time. I'd read something about the graphics looking similiar to the ds version but i was impressed. Everything is moving so fast it's hard to tell really. What makes Spy Hunter fun is the variety of weapons you unlock as you complete missions. You use funds earned from the missions to purchase upgrades for all the weapons you unlock. You have 4 weapon slots, one for each side of the car. As you progress through the levels you will come across semi trucks with oversized trailers that release a ramp for you to drive up into. They function as checkpoints and allow you to reload your ammo and swap out different weapons, which i thought was a very nice feature. Overall i recommend trying this game out now, one its cheaper now and two it's just plain and simple fun. Just drive around and blow $hit up anytime you want. The car also has an afterburner, what more could you want?!?

Loved this game! Sure the graphics are not as great as some games of today but it's pretty well done... The game while sometime repetitive was still fun to play because of its simplicity and a great feel of how he old spy hunter was... If you like a game to pas the time and enjoy shooting down and smashing up other cars then this is the game for you...

excelent, classic, a warrior car a excelent car in, the roads, in the water, in the deserts, nice missions, I love this because you can play the game anytime, anywhere in a portable device like the vita .... I recommend this game for all the collectors because is great is a classic game and you can play with nice graphics and sound I love this game is my number one the car comes with a new styles in guns a fast car in the roads fast in the desert and fast in the water a nice nice buy it.

I never really played or heard of the original series this was based on. Like many people who have vita systems, you become open to trying something new because new games aren't really being produced as much.So I found this and decided to give it a whirl. Not really all that impressed.To look on the bright side, graphics are decent. It's sort of fun when you go tearing down a road at full speed and have to shoot down a gaggle of enemy vehicles. The engagement on that level is simple yet effective. You drive, you shoot, you finish the mission and go on to the next.But something is missing.It may be that I dont really care for this type of game. I have games such as need for speed, and love it. With the extra combat dimension it should be more fun. But it isn't. Just sort of fell flat with me. One possible reason I can think of is that the story isn't really all that convincing. Maybe there doesn't need to be one, but I find that it helps in the game if you are doing something for a reason, and that reason is interesting on a strong enough level that it adds to the fun.But I see lots of other people like it. So it could be just me.

Outstanding, often overlooked game. I've bought a bunch of games for the vita, most of the biggest, most popular, and highest rated games, and to my surprise, this is one of my very favorites, and I'm not really even a "racing game" enthusiast. Spy hunter has outstanding graphics and gameplay. Flawless framerate, tight controls, and quite a bit of variety due to the fact that you can customize your car. I really really like this title. It's one of those "must...get...to...one...last...checkpoint" kind of games.

I have no idea how anyone can give this game a review any higher than 1. The controls were horrible. The left analog stick controls the steering but it also controls the rear view, this means if you turn but the analog stick goes down ever so slightly you all of a sudden are looking backwards. Try driving at a fast speed while fighting enemies and the view constantly keeps going to the back of the car, it's pretty hard. The graphics are dated, the locations all look the same. Save your money, don't buy this game.

Game play was a bit rough for me to keep up with.

I received a brand new sealed copy of the game, which I do not expect for Vita nowadays.Received item on time as well.
