I bought this for my elderly parents. They didn't want to invest in new wireless speakers and my research found this adapter. It took 2 seconds to install in their receiver and worked immediately. The best part about this adapter is that it doesn't take anything away - my dad, who has dementia, was very concerned about this - it simply adds a layer of functionality. I can't believe how simple and hassle free this device is to install AND use. The sound was great and there were no connectivity issues interrupting playback. The unit is small enough that it doesn't add any clutter to what's already there. It's a perfect, inexpensive solution for anyone who wants wireless capability but doesn't want to buy new everything.

I did lots of research, read all the reviews. I went with this one because Logitech is known for quality products (at least when it comes to webcams) and the 1 star reviews were for more silly things rather than the product failing (as was the case for other products). I've been using this for 2 weeks. It was plug and play, with the simplest BT setup I've ever seen. It connects seamlessly to my iphone. The only problem is that the light stays on all the time and there is no/off button. The other brands have the same problem of no on/off button too. So far I'm very satisfied.

I used this for a sound system install inside a hot yoga studio (98 + temp in the room) We installed the speakers along the bluetooth receiver inside the yoga room so the instructor could have a direct line of sight between the receiver and their phone to play music from during class. We put the Bluetooth receiver inside this room to avoid drop outs from lack of line of sight.The mixer and power amp was installed outside the studio on a shelf with normal room temperature. After one day of use and being inside the hot yoga room where the normal temperature for classes ranges from 98-102 degrees the Bluetooth receiver started to fail. Of course, due to the temperature inside the hot yoga room. We figured this could happen when we installed it inside that room but we wanted to know if it could withstand that heat. Well it didn’t.No worries, we set it outside the room next to the amp and mixer where the temperature is normal and it has worked fine (no drop outs) and we hope it continues to do so. We just wanted to test its ability. So for a range of about 50ft between the studio lobby and the hot yoga room (no line of sight) so far, this unit has worked well. If you’re planning on using this outdoor or in a hot room/area be prepared to have some possible issues.Another thing to be aware of is that all music media apps (Spotify, Pandora, Apple Music, etc) have different audio streaming qualities. This may affect how loud, full and crisp the music sounds depending on the app you are using. That has nothing to do with this bluetooth receiver.Overall we are happy with the product and would recommend and also buy again.

This worked excellent for connecting my Amazon Echo to my home reciever. A great feature of this device for a use case such as connecting the Amazon Echo is that when it receives power, this device will automatically connect to the last paired device if possible. Which means that if the bluetooth is enabled on your Echo then this device will automatically connect.So what I did to make my connection with Alexa fully automated is to use an Wifi (also worked well with Z-Wave) power outlet that integrates with the Echo too! Then you can tell Alexa to turn on the outlet, and voila it will automatically connect to the Echo when it's powered on.For my final setup -- after I figured this all out -- I have a home automation hub (Raspberry Pi running HomeAssistant) that controls the outlet and the my Home Theater Receiver in combination with my Harmony Hub. So the entire process is easily automated. When I ask Alexa to "Turn on the Speakers", she communicates with HomeAssistant using the Emulated Hue capability to trigger an automation. That automation uses the Harmony Hub to turn on my receiver to the correct input that this bluetooth adapter is connected to. Then it turns on the outlet device (Z-Wave or Wifi; both work well) which supplies power to this Logitech bluetooth adapter . . . which in turn automatically connects to the Echo because I leave the bluetooth on all the time on the Echo.Then I ask Alex to do anything such as play some Jazz or Classical, or play my Flash Briefing and I hear it loud and clear through my 7.1 surround sound system. Whenever I want to have the Echo work locally for basic commands in the Kitchen nearby the Home Theater, I just ask Alexa to "Turn off the Speakers", and she turns that same item off in HomeAssistant (via Emulated Hue). The automation then powers off the receiver via the Harmony Hub, and the outlet plug which thereby disconnects the bluetooth connection. And then Alexa quickly returns to work with her own internal speaker again.Everything is automated and hands free, and works extremely well when cleaning the dishes and my hands are wet and/or I just don't want to physically switch all the equipment on manually!
