Heaven is Rebecca Ferguson's first outing as a singer after getting to2nd place in Britain's X Factor.I first discovered Rebecca on X Factor in Britain. She is a true success story.Being a single mother from Liverpool and rising to such a level is a marvel.And so is her voice and her song writing abilities. When asked to record songsfor her first record I understand she declined and felt she should write her ownmaterial to be taken seriously. Both her HEAVEN CD and this FREEDOM CDare examples of fine songwriting, excellent production values and beautifulvocals. There are elements of Aretha Franklin and Sade but only slightly.She is truly unique and a pleasure to listen to over and over again.5 stars for Rebecca!

Heaven is an awesome collection of music by Rebecca Ferguson who is an exceptional singer from London. Her ability to perform various kinds of songs is outstanding. Such an unusual voice. It is a great addition to my music collection for many years to come.

Rebecca Ferguson is a new discovery for me. Being from Australia, I only came across her while viewing vids on YouTube. As soon as I heard that voice, I needed to know more and was pleasantly surprised she took part in X-Factor UK. Clearly a talent for songwriting as much as for her voice, my guess is she'll be around for some time to come. At times she sounds like Shara Nelson and other times like Linda Womack (from Womack & Womack) but Rebecca Ferguson is still unique enough to set herself apart from the other Neo-Soul Divas like Angie Stone or Jill Scott. This album will play on repeat on your CD player or I-pod - guaranteed. Some of my fav tracks include "Glitter & Gold", "Shoulder to Shoulder" & "Diamond to Stone". BUY THIS CD! Considering her age, her talent for songwriting is so amazing it will give you chills.

IU saw this girl on an episode of the Graham Norton show recently and before the show had finished I had ordered this cd from Amazon and had it winging down here to Australia. If you like a touch of modern soul a bit of jazz funk and a beautiful soulful voice, do yourself a favour and grab this cd.

One of my favorite-ever competitors from Britain's X-Factor, Rebecca Ferguson is a completely class act with a unique, smokey jazz/soul voice with a depth of genuineness that reminds me of some of the old greats. I could listen to every single track on this album for hours. Highly recommended.

This album is marvelous. Every song is great. "Teach me how to be loved" is extremely powerful. Whereas "Mr. Bright Eyes" is very fun and flirty. Ms. Ferguson has co-wrote every song on the album.Ms. Ferguson is truly a bright jewel in today's lackluster music industry.Fantastic first album.

The lady herself has a very nice persona and great husky voice. That goes toward the overall package which is what Simon along with the judges of X Factor are looking to find.Well find it they did. The album is not quite as polished as she is but first one so heres looking for the next one to go up one level.

Rebecca Fergurson just has it in bucket loads very Macy Gray, Aretha Franklin & Tracy Chapman all rolled into one Sensational CD, This girl/woman sings from the soul, Its like She makes love to my ears 10 out of 10 from me!!!!!!!!!!!!

Normalerweise bin ich kein Typ, der Rezensionen schreibt... aber dieses Debüt-Album von Rebecca Ferguson (ich kenne sie vom britischen X-Factor 2011, wo sie den 2. Platz belegt hat) hat mich derart umgehauen, dass ich mich regelrecht dazu gezwungen fühle! Ich kann die CD nicht oft genug hören. Diese einmalige Soul-Stimme, diese einfühlsame Texte. 1A Qualität von Anfang bis Ende. Jeder Track ein Leckerbissen. Wer sich entschließt, dieses Album zu kaufen, wird garantiert nicht enttäuscht sein. Sie hat fleißig mit geschrieben und man spürt es sofort. Sie hat nichts zurückgehalten. Hier steckt eine Menge Lebenserfahrung drin. Emotion pur, glaubhaft vermittelt. Hut ab Rebecca! Bin total beeindruckt und warte jetzt schon ungeduldig auf das nächste Album!

It's very rare that you buy an album and like every track and want to play it again and again. This is just one of those albums. Rebecca has a sumpuous and delicous voice full of soul. She has co written every one of these tracks and there is not one duff one amongst them. Track one "Nothing's real but love" is beautiful. Track four "Fairytale(let me live my life this way)" could have been straight out of the Tamla Motown era. Track six "Fighting suspicions" starts slowly and sounds like an old classic jazz standard before going into a modern beat with a great brass and string section before finishing as it started, absolutly wonderful. Track seven "Teach me how to be loved" is just a piano and cello and rebecca's soulful voice, a classic beautiful song.I could'nt pick a favorite track as I like them all and that is rare. The album is not too over produced and has a great even balance which allows Rebecca's voice to shine out. I am writing this review whilst listening to the album for a fourth time and I haven't been so impressed by an album and a singers voice for a very very long time. Oh yes I do have one citicism, it is only 35 minutes long and I want to hear more so I can't wait for her next production. This album is going to be huge beleive me.
