1000 Fonts: An Illustrated Guide to Finding the Right Typeface

I lot of good font ideas. The first half of the book is typeface fonts so if you are looking for script like fonts there are a lot more for hand drawing at the back of the book.

This is a very compact book. There is a medium sized display, small displays and text versions for each font. I find it very helpful if I need to compare time for text use before actually purchasing a font. I also like to be able to see the small size for hand drawn use. Probably not a book if you are looking for headline displays, however.

I'm looking more for Poster and Typography fonts so the fonts in the back part of book will be most useful to me. I wish the fonts were larger but they do provide the entire alphabet.

I am in process of returning this item. It was received with at least ten neon post it notes bookmarking various pages. I thought it quite costly for a used book but was more upset that all but about ten pages were in another language. The first four or five pages were in English, with just a few short comments throughout the book being in English as well. I have no idea what the rest of the comments next to various fonts said. I also found the content of fonts not suited for my projects. If any of the unreadable text was history or use of fonts, it did me no good.The other reviewers spoke highly of this book. I saw no mention of it being in another language. Did I miss something?

Wow, what a beautifully illustrated book. I'm so glad I found this book. Fonts are categorized by style and fully illustrated. It's so much faster to flip through the pages to find your font. This sure beats browsing, clicking around, wait for download, and previewing them, and going on to next one, etc.

Love the book! However, the cover fell off after I opened the book a few times.

Great resource to find a type of font, but 1000 isn't even touching the surface...

This book is amazing, my only regret is that I didn't purchase it earlier. One thing I didn't notice in the item description (and didn't expect) was all of the font ornamentations, which was a very pleasant surprise.

Excellent to have so many interesting fonts contained in on place. Sectioned in terms of style and with descriptive panels

Great reference and quality book. I love the variety of fonts and the organized sections of every type of font. It also has a short description of who created each font.
