Couldn't be easier to install. You will no longer cook your batteries. Converts your old charger to work with Lithium batteries
My converter is an Inteli Power 9160A and comes standard with only one charge mode (Normal 13.6v) which can boil away the electrolyte if left powered for long periods of time. Adding the Charge Wizard provides 3 voltages and 4 modes (Boost-14.4v, Normal-13.6v, Storage-13.2 and Desulfation-14.4). this extends the life of your batteries. Additionally, it provides the necessary voltages Lithium batteries require to work with a standard converter (14.4v). If you are thinking of upgrading to Lithium, you need this device. The Charge Wizard is a plug and play installation. The hardest part is getting to your converter/charger to install the Charge Wizard. In my 2003 Fleetwood Southwind, the converter is under the fridge. I had to remove the drawer but the converter was right there bolted to the floor. (See attached pictures) Even with limited access for my large hands, this installation was simple. Just remove the cover on the socket (one phillips head screw) and plug it in. Do yourself a favor and screw it down. (I had a stubby phillips) You don't have to but screwing (RRR) up a camping trip because your charger controller vibrated out, just isn't worth it. I attached the device to the wood paneling next to the drawer. No one has kicked it yet. The cable threaded through the opening just fine and double stick tape is already included for an easy install. From there it goes into automatic mode and does it's thing. If you want, you can manually put it in any mode you want. One thing I hadn't considered is the brightness of the LED. We only notice it when sleeping in the dark. It's not intrusive or anything. Just something you notice.I cannot recommend the Charge Wizard more highly. Great product, cheap price.

Works as advertized
I added the PD Charge Wizard to our camper's converter/charger about 3 years ago and it works great. The rapid charge capability allows us to charge our battery bank (two 12v deep cells) to about 90% in an hour or so... allowing us plenty of power to use lights (LEDs) and water pump with power to spare. When connected to shore power the Charge Wizard will cycle through all the charging modes and top off the battery bank... which may take a day or more. Our battery bank seems to perform well with the Charge Wizard. I would recommend the unit to others who need rapid charge capabilities.

Simple way to upgrade to a Smart converter / charger!
This add on works perfectly with my RV power converter. I purchased a used toy hauler camper last year, and made a rookie mistake of leaving it plugged in all the time. Within six months, the battery had boiled dry and was toast. Doing some reading, I found that there is quite a difference in the quality of battery charging with RV power converters. I then expected to be buying a new "smart" converter for hundreds of dollars, but thankfully found this attachment for the one that was already installed. I connected it within a few minutes, and verified the voltage to be exactly as advertised (13.2V in storage mode). Without the charge wizard, the converter was supplying 13.6V. This should certainly reduce the loss of water in my battery, and I highly recommend this upgrade for anyone with a compatible InteliPower / Progressive Dynamics converter.

nice upgrade to cheap converter box. really easy install
The RV industry is totally failing consumers with RV batteries and RV battery charging. This gadget helps actually fairly well and I have updated my review to reflect my general satisfaction.Without this, the converter box always puts out a steady 13.6 volts while you are plugged in to shore power. The problem with 13.6 volts is that if that is plugged in long enough like in storage or a period of weeks, it can burn up your batteries a little and permanently damage them.Something I found both surprising and convenient is that most converter boxes on RVs in the past 20 years or so have this type of converter box and the socket and screw holes to add this already exist(!)My first use of this, my batteries were reading 12.3 (12.75 is a full charge) when I began charging with this. At the beginning, it put out a nice boost at about 14.4 (or so) to the batteries from the converter. This boost is a great feature. After a few hours and according to the manufacturer, when the batteries hit 80 - 90%, the wizard slows the converter output back to 13.6. It did this properly. That power boost is very nice and the batteries are made for that kind of input for charging. After a couple days or so, it drops down to the maintenance charge which I have measured at 13.2 volts and is actually a pretty good trickle charge that will not do damage to the house 12 volt. The converter box was made for this to be installed. I don't understand why they all don't come stock with this and why I had to hunt it down and learn way more than I wanted about battery technology. It is so easy to just include stock. The RV industry really is so cheap. That said, it is kind of nice to know about the battery technology stuff. I had to have my dad explain all of this to me because he is an electrical engineer.

Wizard is magic!
I wanted AGM batteries but only had a single stage Progresdive converter The Wizard was inexpensive, easy to attach to my Progressive converter and it is now a 4 stage converter. It manages my new AGM batteries automatically. Great item but I think all converters should be 4 stage.

Great way to extend battery life in an RV.
Fast delivery and very easy install. Hooked it up, turned it on and voila. It modulates the current so you don't overcharge your house batteries which in turn means much longer life and better performance.

charge wizard
Received the Progressive Dynamics PD9105V Lead Acid Battery Charge Wizard on time and not damaged. The Charge Wizard was easy to install per instuctions included. I can't say that anything negative or positive due to none used of the motorhome. We haven't used the motorhome since I installed this product. It does flash to let you know what the status of the batteries are, other than that I don't know if it boost charging or not? Sorry for the short review!
