I have read The Lord and still reread it. It outstanding offering meditations throughout the liturgical seasons. If the reader does not have access to a copy of The Lord, I suggest Jesus Christus as equally good but a shorter version.

Guardini at his best. Do not take my word for it: read the volume on your own, even if you are not a Christian, to find something remarkable about yourself in the presence of the divine.

Guardini is the master! He delves deeply into the mystery of Christ in a very readable style.
