You get what you pay for I guess, not impressed.
Looks OK but a little wobbly and difficult to open and get the skein on. Then once that is done the damned thing needs to be turned by hand cos it won't turn freely enough. I was going to buy a ball winder too but honestly it wouldn't work with this swift. The best it does is to replace my husband's hands so I can wind a ball by hand alone, but it is not the efficient gadget I thought it would be. Be aware before buying that you are prepared for a squeaky and creaky swift with (at best) dodgy screw fixings and no desire to turn unaided. Good luck.

An excellent way of keeping your yarn from tangling
This, combined with a yarn winder, means you can turn wool that comes in hanks into easy-to-use balls. It's easy to set up, clamps to a table, then folds down for easy storage. Even without a ball winder (although I'd recommend getting one), you can hand-wind balls without tangling.

This, in combination with a yarn ball winder, makes skein to ball super fast. It’s so easy to use that I won’t hesitate to buy hand dyed yarns in future.
