Looks Great, Sounds Good, Excellent value
The media could not be loaded. This is a really good looking speaker.Soft sweeping curves with a glossy mirror finish that would look good next to a big screen TV in the living room.Although I have mainly bought it for my PC / laptop. The glowing blue LED is just the right amount of brightness to offset the glossy black and even the dials to the side has a polished brushed metal effect finish.Overall build quality is very high with good fit and finish.Pairing is extremely quick with quite a phenomenal range. Not sure if this is because of the newer Bluetooth 5 tech but I actually got it playing perfectly even when I walked into the next room with my phone.I remembered my other Bluetooth speakers start distorting even if there was just a chair between them, so I am really impressed with the Bluetooth stability on this one.Bass is surprisingly loud from such a small speaker and the level of details would put some of my lesser 5.1 audio setup to shame. There is a lot of subtlety and nuance to the acoustics and it delivers a very fluid, clean and articulate sound performance.I had initially bought this for PC gaming and then rely on my Harmon Kardon Soho headphone if I wanted to just listen to music. But what I am finding is that this is also perfect for songs and pure melodies. And it beats the Harmon Kardon headphone for the soundstage and sheer expansiveness. This is my favourite speakers by far and I am really impressed with the level of performance especially in relation to such a fantastic price.

Beautiful Looks. Beautiful Sound
I have always been a bit frustrated with the generic black box look of speakers. While the sound is still the most important in a speaker, good aesthetics add to the whole package.A bit like when you go to the restaurant, you expect a great tasting meal but also appetising presentation. And this is what first caught my attention with the Ncube Pro.It is an incredibly good-looking speaker with some stylish sweeping lines and curves. The soft glowing blue LED light is understated without being garish and gives it a modern urban look. The front is in a glossy piano black finish while the side are in a warm matt that is quite finger print resistant. But it’s not just a pretty face.It does also have some beautiful sound. The Bass is a particular highlight. While it’s not the loudest I have ever heard, it is certainly enough to fill a room. And that Bass is just so incredibly composed and mature with absolutely stonking pitch definition and articulation. The Mids are equally worthy of note with a lot of energy and details. All the more incredible coming from such a small and compact unit. There is just so much texture and fabric in the midrange. And all this detail without any unpleasant artefacts. However, the Treble is where it shows some weakness.Don’t get me wrong, its smooth, sweet and silky but personally I found it too romanticised.I prefer a more aggressive and edgy topend but it’s a small personal thing in an otherwise very well tuned package. When you close your eyes, this speaker gives a very good illusion of width and depth. While the dynamic range is very close but not quite to a full size system.its versatile and probably a bit of waste of its talent if you are just going to play pop and rock on it.Classical and Jazz sounds almost noble and majestic on this little unit. When you look at the overall price, you are getting a huge amount of value for your money. It is well constructed with a clearly expensive design. While it doesn’t have the brand name of say a Sonos, they have clearly put the cost in some incredible components inside instead of the marketing. You are getting a lot of bangs for your bucks and arguably as a consumer its always better to put your money on getting high end components rather than just a brand name sticker on the front.A lot of big brands don’t make their own speaker and a lot of brands are actually made in the same factories anyway. So, follow your ears rather than the marketing.I guarantee your ears will be impressed with this choice of speaker. And your pocket will be equally thankful for what a great bargain you have got 😊

The sound is good
Excellent value for money, the sound is good for such a reasonable price. Individual bass and treble controls enables you to adjust to sound to your own preferences. I much prefer the sound of this three part system compared to that given by individual Bluetooth speakers. My only slight quibble is that though loud enough for most occasions it is not quite as loud as I would like it to be, don’t get me wrong it is louder and richer and more subtle than any of my Bluetooth speakers which cost twice the price and more - and of course this setup is not portable but it doesn’t have to be as I have it set up in my lounge to use with my iPadI use it mainly to listen to music and as I like to hear individual sounds and instruments it suits me very well, I am happy with it.

Great for the price
This is actually my first ventures into buying a speaker! I didn't want to spend a lot but I knew I also wanted it to have BT functionality as I do like using my phone for my music.I usually use headphones so this was a massive change for me in comparison.FIrst of all these are really capable of reproducing sounds from a wide spectrum just like my headphones, its got small adjustment knobs on the side for you to tune the sound to your liking, quite nice change actually as i normally rely solely on equalisers. Just to let you know i use this for podcasts,commentaries/documentaries and gaming/films.When i play game with this it gives a really great sense of direction, with headphones you do get that surround sound which is nice but this really adds a great stereo experience which is a nice change i think. Also headphones can get sweaty and uncomfortable after a good number of hours. For aesethetics and build its quite good, they feel quite sturdy so i dont think they'll fall apart if the satellites or sub fell off a desk. The style is quite nice its got this piano black finish on the speakers and the sub has a black and white design, has a option to turn on blue LED lights which is pretty cool.Bluetooth function is quite standard, you can swap between the two with the press of a button, I normally do this when i want to get away from the tele and just leave music playing in the background. Saves me having to leave the TV on or have to physically disconnect it from my TV to my phone. I like life the easy way.For the price i paid and for what i got I think this is a pretty good package.
