I was really impressed with how well packaged the product was as I’d read several reviews indicating poor packaging. These arrived in their own box, double wrapped in bubble wrap. The jar itself was well sealed, and I appreciate the plastic insert which allows me to push the anchovies down into the oil as I use them. The anchovies are very good, well used in my home made Caesar salad dressing.

I wanted to like these anchovies so badly. The packaging is beautiful and the quality of the fish appears to be great.However, the first time I purchased them (January 2018) I let them sit on the shelf for about a month prior to using. When I went to finally open the jar, I noticed oil had leaked all over the shelf underneath the jar. I was too nervous to use them given they weren't properly sealed, so threw them out.I decided it was probably a fluke so ordered another jar in November of 2018. Same deal - went to open for the first time about a month after their arrival and again, oil all over the shelf where they had sat (and on the jar). I put the jar on a clean paper towel on the counter to make sure I wasn't crazy, and it continued to leak onto the paper towels for weeks. I finally threw them out, once again, never opened.I will consider ordering these in the tin, but given the high price tag for the jar, I would 100% NOT recommend buying.

I have purchased many anchovy fillets and this one is by far the best I have found. Not only are the anchovies nice and fat and whole but they are also not extra salty and really packed well. It actually has a small device inside the jar that holds the anchovies under the oil and that makes them stay in Prime condition before you use them. I also like that the jar is very reusable so I'm not wasting in that way. It is slightly more expensive than others that I have purchased but it is well worth it.

Excellent product , 4 stars due to much oil ,usually this product come tight in jars even this brand in smaller presentations, anyway , the fillets are Excellent in crackers ( preferably cuban crackers , are more dense ) pizzas , pasta

They are great anchovies.

I am an anchovy lover. This is the best way to buy them. The tins often leak. These don't. Remember to keep refrigerated even before opening

Disappointing because they left a sharp taste in my mouth. unexpected them to be quite mild. I have had much better luck with grocery store small cans.I will definitely buy another, perhaps the ones I got were not stored properly.
