I wanted specific features in a Bluetooth speaker, but primarily an earphone output that would cut the sound of the speaker when earphones are connected. It doesn't appear that this exists. Yes, there are some, including this, that have an audio out in addition to an audio in but none that will cut the speaker sound.Why did I want this? During the day, or when my wife is awake and viewing the TV (the main purpose of this Opera), the speaker is not an issue. When she goes to sleep, I want to use my Bose noise-cancelling earphones (a great way to live in your own little world) and not have the speaker playing. Oh well, in this case I couldn't get it all.But, everything else is great about this BT speaker. I actually went to the trouble of asking for an RMA because the speaker sound couldn't be shut off when earphones are connected. I just couldn't part with it. Why? It's small, feels like very high quality, sounds great, especially because of the passive sub-woofer, pairs easily with my cell phone and anything else, has great battery life (it's rechargeable), and puts out crisp, articulate speech from the TV. I went so far as to buy and try another BT speaker from a local Target. It has an audio out, but nobody could answer the question about whether it would cut the speaker sound. I tried it at home and no, it doesn't cut the sound. But more importantly, it showed me how good my Opera is comparatively. Opera sounds better, feels better, is more compact, etc. The other one is going back.I don't review all the time, but I like to review products that make an impact on me. This one is certainly in that category.This is an addition to my previous review. I just had to comment on the incredibly great service I received from the seller, Barajas Holdings. He (Ron) has replied quickly to every email I sent him and provided great tips on some nuances related to Bluetooth pairing with a certain BT transmitter. I couldn't be more pleased with the product and the seller!

This speaker was smaller than I thought, but in a good way. So far the week i have owned it I have not had any issues. This speaker delievers great sound and had really good bass for the size. There is one small tweak that bothers me. When connecting to the speaker via Bluetooth, the default sound level is about 3/4 all the way up. So when you start to play your music it will be really loud (I have the bluetooth volume on my phone all the way up). It will scare you if you are not expecting it to be that loud. Other than that, it is a great speaker for the price. I would definitely recommend to get one. It is really comparable to the bose sound link mini.

Great bass, accurate, with true sound that does not distort at elevated volume. Amazing sound from a speaker of this size. Also, the bluetooth feature works very smoothly and it is easy to connect your cellphone or tablet to it. I would purchase this again if I needed another small speaker.

Arrived promptly and securely packaged. It took me as an amateur techie 2 minutes to pair with my MacBook Pro retina.It synched immediately and within seconds Pavarotti singing "Nesse Dorma" floated clearly through the speaker. Good bass. excellent tenor range. For those of us that listem to c lassical music and opera this Opera portable has sound as good as my best Bose system at a fraction of the cost.A well worth purchase. I am buying another one as a gift to my daughter.

I am loving this product! The sound is great and I can have it one room and be on the other side of the house and still hear it! I was told I was the first U.S. Customer! That's exciting! The reason I got this product was because I saw in one of the other comments the great customer service that wS being provided. There were other choices, but when I read that, I knew this was the product. You don't know what you are going to get with ordering online. Love this speaker!

I probably should have waited a little longer for some actually "field tests" at the beach, but I was pretty excited by the initial results. You could be disappointed if you are expecting sound quality that matches Bose or other higher end speakers. This speaker is not quite there. But, it certainly has the volume punch and sound quality for my outdoor uses. If that's what you are looking for, I doubt you can find a better buy for the same money.

I am a musician and a sound editor. I needed a portable sound device for my laptop that was good enough to play the audio of the videos I was editing. This thing works and it's really worth the money. I'm picky when it comes to sound... obviously this is not a super professional studio monitor, but hey, it does the job. If you just want to listen to music or watch movies, you'll be positively surprised.
