This is my dedicated wood pellet lighter. I use a pellet grill for smoking meats and added a Smoke Tube to infuse more smoke into the process. The smoke tubes can be tricky to light using alcohol or other methods, but are simple with a torch. It is simple and safe to use. Simply push the button on the rear of the torch and it is on. There is also an adjustment knob to increase the flame though I have never needed on anything but the lowest setting. Good quality product.

Updates: ( It's okay and flame is quite large) Actually I did not read the instruction about de-pressurizing the torch before refilling and it does say wait a few minutes before using. It would definitely be nice if you can tell the fuel level in the torch, so if you use it outside, you wont go out of fuel in the middle of something. The torch looks nice and sturdy, but no way of telling when it is empty or full. And when you refill it ,it always spills out as if it is full the but it will not light up. I have wasted so much fuel on it and yet it wont light up. My guess it you have to wait till the fuel settle in When it did light up, I had used it for 5 mins or so and the fuel is out. The flame is not strong nor is the flame big when use outdoor. Do not think it is windproof. Kinda disappointed- thinking this will outperform the old plastic lighters torches

This is for light searing eg creme brulet or mashed potato topping. To sear meat you need a proper blow torch

This item arrived safe and well packaged. This is a fab kitchen blow torch! This is very well made, and accurately built from sturdy metal. This is easy to fill with any little can of butane, which is easily available! Once filled, the torch lights at the click of the trigger and produces a lovely strong, hot flame! This can be held on with the flick of a switch so you don't need to keep holding the trigger. This is incredibly useful for browning, crisping, cooking, melting etc. It can caramelise sweets, melt marshmallow, set meringue etc. I highly recommend this product.
