Solid Replacement Pump
I've learned that GM vehicles tend to like AC Delco replacement parts. For around $40 this water pump is a solid all metal part. Heavy in my hand and smooth when I rotate the pulley. I didn't need a new water pump, but since you have to loosen it to change the timing belt and my Aveo has 151,000 miles on it, it was a no brainer to put a new pump in along with the timing idler and tension pulleys, serpentine belt and its' tensioner pulley as well as an alternator. All AC Delco Professional replacement parts, except the upgraded high output alternator. Now I should not have to access this side of the engine again for the remaining life of the car.
