Are you really a performance improvement practitioner if you don't own this book?
Bought this even though it was not required reading for my courses. It's nice to cite Van Tiem et al. directly, as opposed to those icky "as cited in" nonsense. The change management updates for this new version make a lot more sense as a lot of change management is the prep work. Change does not occur on its own.

Very rich and in depth resource
The book was required for a course. The instructor, Jim Moseley, was one of the authors. Other than being a bit costly the book was pretty good. Although the book can easily stand by itself, Jim's lectures brought the thing to life. It's clear the guy knows the subject inside out. Superb instructor.

Well Played - flows well
This book is very thorough. Written well with case studies, examples and theory upon theory. The size of the text makes the reading easy. No strain on the eyes. The book flows well.

Amazing Overview of Performance Improvement
As someone who comes at the Workplace Learning and Performance World from the workplace learning side, I found this book to be unbelievably beneficial. I would recommend this book for anyone who is either looking to become a human performance technologist or someone who just wants to improve her or his workplace.

great textbook, kindle
I bought this kindle textbook to supplement my course text and it's much better than the required text. The kindle version is easy to use, also.

Case studies Inclued!
This new version includes two case studies of each section, which is not provided in the last version. I think this is pretty cool!

Got the job done
Book served it’s purpose for my graduate level course. Not in the greatest condition and most of the text was covered in highlighting with some notes written in pen. Would’ve hoped for a little better quality but overall it got the job done.
