I've had my trimmers for over 30 years, and just replaced the blade for the first time after damaging the base plate. The new one is excellent, and with it I expect the trimmer to outlive me.

Seller has good faith but Wahl seems to not care!
I ordered this replacement blade set for my clearly marked Wahl 9906and the information clearly shows it will fit a 9906. But the blade setdoesn't fit my 9906 it has a different connector piece on it and can't beused as the mounting holes don't line up so it can't be interchanged at all.I found that Wahl has made more than one 9906, I found so far a9906-1647 and a 9906-717 mine looks like the -717 suffix model.But my trimmer only has "Model 9906" on it no suffix or otherletters or numbers and the sales ad shows 9906 with no suffix,so it is saying it fits 9906 but it does not fit mine which looks to bethe 9906-717. So beware if your 9906 looks like a 9906-717 thisblade set will not fit your trimmer. I do not know if it will fit a 9906-1647since I don't have one to compare with. I'm not sure how many timesWahl has made a 9906-**** in the past but they should clarify that thereare different ones and add the suffix to the trimmer itself if warranted.The seller had no way of knowing this information without input from peoplelike me, they are selling in good faith from information the manufacturer issupplying, it seems to be bad communication between Wahl and whoever ismanufacturing their replacement blade sets.
