VolklCyclone 17g String Set

Developed Arm Issues After Hitting with Cyclone
I recently strung one of my Volkl C10 Pro's with this at 60 lbs. For reference I'm a male in my early/mid-40's who is between a 4.0 and 4.5 level player who takes fairly big swings with loopy topspin-heavy strokes. I camp mostly on the baseline, but have no qualms coming in on a short ball so I get a handful of volleys in every set as well.Full disclosure I generally dislike the stiff feel of monofilament strings, but was hopeful about Volkl Cyclone based on good reviews. However, after hitting for a bit and playing a couple sets I cannot recommend this string to anyone. I don't have tennis elbow problems, but after initially hitting I spent the next couple days barely able to move my arm. While it is possible this is from errant form on a kick-serve, I cannot determine a specific inciting incident/swing and have never had an issue with kick-serves before. The only thing I can attribute it to is the general vibration I was feeling when hitting with this set of strings.Again, I'm no fan of monofilament strings but these were particularly stiff feeling and jarring with vibration. My C10 Pro which is normally super responsive was rendered lifeless and stiff, especially on backhand slices. I subsequently strung a Yonex VCore Pro 97 at about 56 lbs with this then played a set hitting normally off the ground, but serving at 3/4 speed because of my arm. Again I found it stiff and lifeless. My control was fine and I was generally able to place shots where I wanted (the only reason I'm giving it two stars instead of one), but I couldn't feel them worth a damn. My spin-heavy strokes did not benefit from this string, and the power was adequate at best. I realize some of this might be tension-related, but honestly I doubt this string would help your game at any tension. If you like stiff lifeless inexpensive strings (as some people actually do) then by all means give these a whirl. As for me, I haven't enjoyed these one bit and will be switching back to multifilament strings in the hopes of recovering my arm that is still somewhat messed up a couple weeks after the fact.

Perfect string for me
I'm a 3.5 to 4.0 player, use a Head Liquidmetal 8 racquet, 112 sq.in. Have had problems with string breakage with all prior comfortable strings. This string is the perfect balance of control, spin, comfort, and durability. AND it's unbelievably inexpensive.

Best strings ever!!!
You just cannot go wrong using these strings! I've been playing tennis for such a long time and it's been an ordeal trying to find strings that do it all. All other brands have disappointed me until now. Volkl has surpassed all my expectations. My game has elevated since I started using these strings and I can't see using anything else at this point!

Best string value going!
I made the switch from Luxilon 4G strings (which I also liked a lot) to Cyclone. Cyclone strings are softer on the arm and offer a better ball pocket. The shape of them produces a little extra spin (though spin is mostly a by-product of technique). Allowed me to swing out with confidence and get great depth on my shots and still keep them in the court. Also prefer this string over RPM Blast b/c these are a bit more lively and hold tension longer. Once I found the right tension in my frame, these were amazingly This has to be the best string on the market strictly when it comes to cost/performance.
