I purchased two sets of the 33 foot (100 Leds) TaoTronics lights for my teenage daughter's bedroom. She has a tropical theme and wanted the lights installed along her ceiling. I secured the lights by simply using clear plastic pushpins/thumbtacks into the edge where the ceiling meets the wall. Because they are clear, everyone asks, "How did you attach them?" At the time, they did not have the 66ft version, so I used two 33ft lengths. Although each set of lights has its own infrared receiver, both sets of lights can be controlled by a single remote. We typically leave them on with a steady glow, but there are many different options (intensity, flashing, etc). Overall, we're very satisfied with the lights and many of my daughter's friends want to do the same in their room.Like most Amazon shoppers, I count on honest, unbiased reviews. I am revising my review as the seller has upgraded the controller and it no longer over heats. This really is a cute string of lights and the remote is VERY convenient. The new controller is black, so if you have or receive the old white controller, make sure to feel it as it's plugged in to see if it gets hot. If the controller overheats, the sting will fail at the least and melt at the worst. Their customer service is very responsive and attentive. They made it right for me.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  These are perfect. They light up my shelves, but when they are turned off they are hardly noticeable. I originally put up bulkier lights and it just looked cluttered. These are clean, easy to work with, and the fact the wire holds a shape makes them easy to place. I love the dimmer feature with the remote. I have my house hooked up to Amazon Alexa, and I needed a set of lights that would remember the last setting for them to work with Alexa. I just used a smart plug between the lights and the power and it works perfectly. Super pleased and highly reccomend these. I went through so many other brands searching for these features, and they weren’t that easy to find. These are a step above the rest!

The original lights I received did not work. After posting a review stating such TaoTronics representative contacted me via email and generaously offered to replace the lights free of charge despite my missing Amazon’s return window. The replacement lights did work, so that was good! I was asked by the company’s representative to edit my original review and post a positive one if I was now happy with their customer service. I did plan to do this. However, before I got the time to do it, the relentless hounding emails began... I decided not to post a new review based on the escalating emails I’ve received from TaoTronics. I have never been badgered, pressured, bullied, and shamed so much by any company before as I have by TaoTronics to edit my original review and post a positive one. The last straw was today’s email to me from them. Now, I have been motivated enough, unfortunately very negatively, that I am now posting this updated review. I wish I had never ordered the lights from them in the first place, and I certainly wish I had not accepted the “free” replacement lights. This experience has felt gross. This has been a bizarre experience! My suggestion is: Test the lights you receive immediately. If your lights don’t work, just flat out return them! Save yourself the grief! DO NOT ACCEPT A “FREE” REPLACEMENT FROM TAOTRONICS.

The remote didn't work at first but the seller replaced the remote and receiver and they work great now. I'm very happy with the product and especially the customer service.

These lights are bright and work well with the different modes on the remote, but I think the description of them as being "weatherproof" is misleading. The package materials say "water resistant". And the wires connecting the lights to the power source, and the power source itself, would not be safe to plug in outdoors during bad weather. I originally purchased these for my condo balcony, but I would not feel safe leaving them plugged in outside.Also, these lights are very small, each about the size of a pencil eraser, not sized like you might expect in Christmas lights. Not a problem considering their size, but good to know.== UPDATE 7/18/16 ==TaoTronics contacted me after I posted this review with an offer to refund or replace with a larger string of lights to make things right. I declined the very generous offer considering there isn't anything wrong with the product and I can use what I bought for something creative inside. That's great customer service to make the offer they did though, and I'm updating my star rating from 3-4 because of it.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I bought these lights to replace some Christmas lights that I had hanging in my front bay window for the holidays. The Christmas lights were too heavy and these wire lights are perfect. If you twist the wire ones you can make a small loop that will pinch around hooks easily. I plugged in the lights and they are really great in this space. The light is just bright enough to illuminate the room. I’ll post another picture at night soon. The lights flash and strobe nicely. They dim well. I gave the remote only four stars because it is a little sensitive and perhaps I just need to get used to using it. I’ll update my review if that’s the case. This is a great set of lights for decoration.

These lights are wonderful! My initial idea was regular holiday tree light, but they were too bulky and heavy....So I found these! They are light-weight, beautifully lit and just great with the remote control for power and display options. They are so thin and light they are invisible in the canopy. The perfect back- light for a tween on her Ipad. Love-em! and the price is very reasonable.
