Great for preserving eggs
I use this to waterglass my chickens' eggs and it works great! Preserves my eggs for up to 2 years and they taste like they're fresh.

Egg storage
New to the raising of chickens, we looked for a way to preserve eggs beyond a refrigerator shelf life. Research indicated that water glassing was an option, and this was essential in preparing the solution for the storage medium (1 oz per quart of water).
