Perfect Square

Love this book so much, it’s simple but very engaging with beautiful illustrations.

This is a very nice book for teaching shapes with young children. This books gives them lots of ideas for all the different types of things they can make with a square and where they might see squares and other shapes in their daily lives. I’ve used it when teaching shape with year 1.

Loved this book-about a square being transformed into other things. The children noticed colours and were interested to see the different ways a square could be made others things , extended vocabulary using words such as shredded, shattered

Story has a lovely message however the quality of the book was poor. The pages had rippled effect on them making the pages feel and look bumpy.

I am pleased with my purchase! I saw that book in our school library and had to have a copy at home.It is a great way to do fun activities with kids while teaching them about shapes, days of the week and etc

I love this book. Hall has created a masterpiece with this one. Everything about the book works beautifully. The story and theme about dealing with the challenges that life can throw at you is spot on. The design of the book suits the story to a tee. The way the colors compliment each other and the creative illustrations add so much to the appeal of the book. Often one doesn't find a lot of character growth in a picture book, the story is often too short, especially if the characters aren't human. But here the square does grow and realize that change and challenge can bring joy. I highly, highly recommend this book. My students also really enjoyed the book. This could lead to some great art activities as well as a great read-a-loud.

Used this book for a school project and it was great, had lots of activities to do.
