The best method of its kind available in the US
This is not a complete adaptation of the original Russian method book, but has enough material in it to make it valuable for 6 months to a year for a beginning small child of 5, 6 or 7. There is nothing better available in the US. Beautiful tunes, beautifully structured to move the student from note reading to the beginnings of polyphonic playing. If you do everything sequentially, and observe every mark and fingering, you'll get a fine result.
