A terrific tool! I love to cook chicken and steak with a good rub. Before I got the pig tail, using tongs or a spatula to turn the meat on the grill would sometimes take off some of the rub. Now, I simply hook the meat and turn it. without removing any of the rub. It also gives you more control on where you put the meat on the grill. As a lefty, it was also great to get a left handed hook. This is a must for those that love to grill!!

I ordered this for myself as a Christmas gift. I smoke a lot of meat and knew this would come in handy. I have seen the normal sized ones but this one was perfect for reaching into my 2' deep smoker. The shaft is very thick and doesn't strain under the weight of a #10 brisket. Many people will tell you not to puncture the meat for fear of losing juices. I don't notice any loss of moisture. Excellent product.

Just LOVE this flipper! Sure helps when smoking or slow roasting a large piece of meat (or small ones like chicken for that matter) in the great outdoors (porch and at camp sites)!! Very strong, well constructed and well thought out. Have always wanted one. Bought it and never looked back. Use it all of the time! Have had it for about 6 months now. Don't see this bad bear wearing out for YEARS.

I quit using a tong or spatula on my outdoor grill and my electric smoker when I began using this. It is the greatest thing for handling meat on any outdoor grilling/smoker equipment. It works great right or left handed.

Easy to flip any meat you're cooking on the pit.

This hook is great, but it's larger than I expected. I will put this one in with my smoking equipment to use when making brisket, because it's a little big for your everyday steak.
