Setting it up is very easy
This replaced a Pioneer AV amp that had started to 'pop' its output into the speakers. The set up instructions are easy to follow and the on line pdf detailed user manual is well set out. Much easier to use than my 13 year old Pioneer. Wiring for speakers and plugging in the hdmi connections, and then referencing these so that the information is displayed on the amp was logical and easy to complete. Setting up the amp volumes and balance for the channels used a tripod and microphone that come with the amp. Very easy to use following the on screen instructions. The balance and sound reproduction is perfect. The amp does exactly what I need. It is also slim enough to sit within a unit housing a PS5, a sky box and the tv and ipod connector; as well as sitting alongside a Cd blu ray player, and a separate valve amp. A great fit. So the advantage is the amp size, sound quality and all round improvement.

Great compact size AVR.
Bought mainly for the compact size. It has all the right connections for my 5.1 needs. Set up was pretty easy using the on screen instructions and supplied mic, I then fine tuned the settings later to get it sounding exactly how I wanted. Easy to use and sounds good too. So far very impressed.

Good Value for Money
This is an excellent and substantial piece of kit weighing around 8kg. I bought it because my hearing is not what it was and I needed to drive something better than a sound bar. I have it hooked up to a pair of Tannoy bookshelf speakers and am pleased with the results. I still use subtitles when watching many films but that's because modern actors tend to mumble! Just a few grumbles: the user interface is dated and the display is small and the resolution poor [the design team should take a lesson from Apple]. To make best use of the system you need to download the HEOS app for phone or tablet. I spent hours trying to get the ARC to work with my kit but never succeeded in getting the NR1510 to talk to my Samsung Q60 TV. Looking at various forums I suspect that the culprit is Samsung, who have shown no interest in resolving the problem. I use an optical audio connect between amplifier and TV, and this works well. Overall I am happy with this AVR which at £499 represents very good value for money. You can pay four or five times this amount but I doubt that you will hear any difference!

Great sound
Great sound and features for the size and price, but the control app is only average. Saying that, the remote control is good!
