Great Game on a Great Platform
First off, I don’t understand the negativity toward the Switch version. This game is obviously less impressive-looking on your Switch than it would be on a typical gaming console or PC, but if you want this game kn the go, or have any reason for it to be useful in a handheld device, it works stunningly. I’ve not have but a few small glitches here and there that didn’t impact the game whatsoever. I’m using the Switch Oled and although it’s not as good as on my 3060, it’s definitely playable on Switch, and I play it WAY more on Switch, which should tell you something. If you like this game, you’ll like it on switch. Pretty much sums it up.

So much fun! Really good game.
I really love this game it is so much fun. Here’s a breakdown for those looking into it.There are 2 roles, survivors and murderers.Survivors- your goal is to start 5 out of the 7 generators and open the gate to escape. You can also do other things to help your team like; heal teammates, unhook them, cleanse totems, find items, troll the murderer just to name a few.Murderer- your goal is to prevent anyone escaping by sacrificing survivors on hooks. Other things you can do help prevent their escape are; damaging generators, setting traps, closing the escape hatch (when it appears) and applying pressure to the survivors to slow them down. The game is a really fun 4 vs 1 game, it has a lot of different facets to it and many different styles of play. Each character and murderer has their own skill tree with unique abilities. Later on at higher levels 30,35,40 you can teach those unique abilities to other characters you play as. Lots of variety to keep the game fresh and they are bringing out more DLC. Worth every penny. One important note: is there is no single player mode, a Nintendo switch online account is REQUIRED for game play. It’s not a bad thing, it just looked like there might have been some confusion in the questions.

Actual Review (not fake, like all the 5 stars)
Do not buy this game on the Switch. The graphics are abysmal and the screenshots you see are from PC. This is not a “good port” as others will tell you. It is a straight port from PC, meaning, there is zero optimization for the Switch (you’re trying to run a PC game, that some PCs struggle with, on the Switch). The controls are not smooth, primarily because you won’t get better than 20 fps (it’s supposed to be 30). They have no plans on fixing this. They just recently released a patch to further downgrade graphics because they’re latest update broke the game on console, at that was all they could do to try to get it running again. The developers pay no attention to console players. This is a money grab. As an example, PS4 and Xbone players were promised 60 fps…3 years ago. Now, they refuse to talk about it and won’t allow posts about it on their forums. If you don’t believe me: go to YouTube and search “Ardetha dbd Switch” to see how poor the game runs (he was also using an external graphics card to try to make the game look better). You’ve been warned. And this game is not meant to be played on the Switch Lite. Enjoy breaking your Switch if you try to play with the sticks on the Lite itself.

Challenging but Fun
The switch is the only console I've played this on, and here are my first impressions: Like others have said, it's a good port, and the graphics are what I would expect for the switch. That would be nice if they got an update though. That being said, I've only played the survival mode so far, and this game is hard! I hardly ever survive. It's best if you work as a team to repair generators (usually 5 total) so you can power up the gate and escape. They take a while to repair, and there are little mini games called "skill checks" that randomly pop up during the process. Press the left bumper at the wrong time, and the generator backfires, alerting the killer to your location. You really have to be paying attention while repairing the generator so you can pass the skill checks, while at the same time listening for a heartbeat that lets you know that the killer is getting close. It seems like our whole team usually gets killed before we get anything accomplished.Con?: It seems like there's no way to fight back against the killer. You have to really play it smart and sneak around. This also makes team work all the more important. Still, you can be doing everything right and still get caught. Once you're caught, you get hung on a hook, and there is no way to escape unless another teammate is feeling nice enough to unhook you. And many times, the killer just camped close by and killed everyone as they tried to save someone else. There's a lot of interesting DLC for this on the Eshop which I might check out. It's definitely a fun game.I may be a little biased because I've played it more, but I think Friday the 13th might be a better game. The maps are bigger, and there's much more variety as far as ways to escape, things to repair, and places to hide or run. You can also fight back, which makes it more fun in my opinion. And Jason has many many more ways to kill you too. Not just a plane old hook like this game.If you play as a killer though, I think this game has more variety in that area. It scared the crap out of me with some of the different killers that came after me.

Hide and go seek with extreme prejudice
This is hide and go seek with a horror movie bent. I would also consider it like when acooby doo gets chased by thr monsters. It is a fun game and worth your while. There is a ton of DLC so keep that in mind before purchase. Many characters aren't playable when first bought, and also can't be earned. What you get this game to unlock it fully will cost more money.
