Picnic at Ascot Original Insulated Picnic Cooler with Service for 4 on Wheels-Designed & Assembled in the USA

I spent a long time looking at picnic baskets, and settled on this model because of the insulated bottle storage and wheels. I live in NYC so any park/beach outings will involve walking and/or subway, and the less I have to carry the better. Overall, I am happy with it. I haven't used it yet, but out of the box the quality overall meets my expectations, and the materials seem sturdy. Some of the glasses did break during shipping, but I contacted the company directly and they are sending me replacements. (I reached out to Amazon first and Amazon does not do replacement parts for this, but if you contact Picnic at Ascot directly they are helpful.) They seem to be decent quality glasses, but there was no padding during shipping so I'm not surprised they broke.The biggest downside to this model overall is that the insulated part is rather small since the bottle area takes up a good amount of room. Minus the wine storage area, the interior is a little larger than 10 x 7 x 10 (height). I disagree with a reviewer who said it doesn't fit enough food for four adults, but it does depend what kind of food you had in mind. It would certainly fit 4 sandwiches and some sides, or a generous selection of smaller containers of dip, olives, cheese, and cold salads for a mezze platter. But it probably couldn't accommodate more than a couple medium-large tupperwares if you wanted to bring large batches of salads, and I wouldn't even try bulky items like bags of chips or a loaves of bread (though you wouldn't need to put those in the cooler either). For ~$35 cheaper than the larger size "Ultimate" option, the extra couple inches of space weren't worth that much more money to me.

This picnic cooler would have received 5 stars as it was almost exactly as the picture except….the wine glass was broken , and the area for the wine bottle was NOT sturdy and the Velcro was applied incorrectly. There is no Velcro grab strip…only the soft strips on all sides which means nothing is adhering.

We used this to pack snacks in and met up with friends at the local winery. Perfect for 4 people. Has a place to keep your wine cold. We packed some cheese and bottled water and crackers. Love the rollers and that they are optional and easy to remove.

There is nothing wrong with picnic basket, per-say. We are keeping it for now. But, I am very disappointing in the unit.It's just cheap in material and construction all around.The external nylon shell of the bag is cheap feeling and thin; the utensils, plates, glasses and napkins are of cheap materials and construction. The extended handle is not sturdy (especially when the main compartment is filled with food/drink). The white inner, thermal material started to turn yellow after one very basic use.A design feature I would add is to have a compartment for the dirty dishes- post picnic. If you put them back in the basket, they then get the inside of the basket dirty. We're bringing a separate bag for this need.It seems most of the picnic baskets in the market at the $100 price point are of comprehensively cheap materials. I felt the same way about a second, different manufacturer's picnic basket. I returned that one.$100 sure doesn't buy any quality.I'm concluding one has to spend $200 - $500 for something of good quality.Crazy...

Nice picnic basket. I like the fact that it is light and has an easily cleaned final interior. The plates and table ware that come with the set are adequate for a picnic setting, but they are certainly nothing to write home about... Serviceable. They can be replaced with a nicer quality set, but that would increase the weight, so I will not take that route.I took a star off for the "light weight" table ware and the price that is charged for what is clearly items that did not cost the manufacturer nearly as much.Still, this is a convenient set and I can still recommend it. I like the ability to carry a pair of wine bottles (I usually bring a bottle of wine and a water bottle) and the nice clean packaging of the table wares. The compartment for food items is large enough to accommodate 4 with no problems. It is a nice basket.

Good quality product that really helps to simplify my life when packing for a picnic. I hate paper plates, paper napkins, and plastic utensils so this is such a nice way to have a simple and pretty table setting at the beach or park when we feel like grilling out. The cooler is a good size and I love the little movable compartments for our wine bottles. Also, there's a bunch of different colors and designs to chose from.. I had a hard time picking which one I wanted... they were all really pretty! Definitely recommend this picnic cooler!

My sister is planning on attending quite a few outdoor concerts this summer, where everyone dines on the lawn in a very affluent atmosphere. I ordered this picnic cooler for a birthday gift to give her. It is fabulous! Exactly as it is pictured, but even better in person. The bag seems sturdy enough to fill with food items and even has a section for wine or cold drinks. The wheel cart slides on so very easily and will make lugging everything so much easier and in a more compact cooler. The plates, glasses, silverware, napkins, wine opener and cheese knife were the surprise portion for her when she went through all the compartments. The best thing is that the cart and cooler fold up flat when not in use, making storage so simple. This is by far the best picnic cooler one can buy. I absolutely love it. My sister absolutely loves it. And even my brother-in-law loves it. Don't even hesitate when thinking about purchasing this item....you will love it just as much.

I haven’t used the product it was a gift but they absolutely love it, the fact it is easy to take anywhere and the picnic set is great also the size of the bag for good is great.

It is very good quality and it looks exactly like the photo. The capacity is just right for a pick nick one lunch time, if you need to carry more food or beverage definitely you need to have and extra cooler for beers and sodas for example.

The centre compartment isn't watertight, so if you add ice (or a drink spills) the bag will leak everywhere. Pity because otherwise it's a great bag.

The product doesn't feel as high end and I expected in the photos. It's basically a nice cooler bag with average quality cutlery found in the front pocket. the rolling wheels are pretty decent but not worth the extra asking price. I would not buy again for the price.
