Good quality, cuts easily
This is not too hard or too soft. Holds detail well.

The OG lino material!
I've been carving with a variety of lino blocks, mostly softer rubber varieties and switching to this is difficult but the result is better. This is harder to carve into but is more like wood than the rubber blocks. It holds small details well. I hate cleaning up after using this because I'm used to running my rubber blocks under water in the sink and being done. Despite some of the downfalls to working with this I will buy again.

Good linocut material
This was a great block for a quick print I needed to do. It was easy to carve for a speedy project and I prefer grey blocks to tan as it's easier for me to see my designs while carving. The only thing I had an issue with was some crumbling of the material with deeper cuts.

Works Perfectly
Worked perfectly for my needs. Can’t beat the price and it was fairly easy to carve into. If needed I would definitely from here again.

Inconsistent
I bought two of these within a few days of each other. The first was lovely and soft, easy and a pleasure to carve. The second was hard and difficult to carve and crumbled at the edges; apparently it was from old stock.

Best linoleum
This is my favorite linoleum to carve. It did not seem crumbly at all to me like some said. It is rigid enough to make small details and easy to make clean lines. I love that it doesn't have any backing aside from the burlap. I do recommend letting it dry after washing paint off, and then storing underneath heavy books to keep it flat as it will warp over time.

Another disappointing product from Speedball. Machines horribly, it has veins that peel away past the cut point, which makes designs look amateur.after 3 days of printing with this block, it's already hard and has lost it's 'give', and blocks that I have had for 7 years are still pliable and soft.Terrible product.

Dented and old.
New linoleum should smell like linseed, bend easily and cut easily with decent tools. This was stiff and brittle, had no scent, and cut poorly even with sharp tools. I will probably not purchase from Amazon again because while this product has a long shelf life, it does not have an unlimited one, and if it's allowed to wallow in a warehouse somewhere it may be ruined.
