The Reptispa UV Sun Lamp is a self-ballasted Mercury Vapor lamp that emits both UVA and UVB radiation necessary for reptile health. UVB radiation produces Vitamin D in the reptiles skin which is necessary for calcium metabolism and in some herbivore reptiles assists in digestion.
