Cocoade Pure Premium Coconut Water, 16.5 Ounce (Pack of 12)

My last GF got me into Coconut water 9 years ago and I have not looked back since.Coconut water is full of electrolytes and has less sugar than other fruit juice. It quenches your thirst and tastes yummy!It has a semi-neutral taste so you can make great smoothies with fruit and it won't change the flavor.I usually buy the young coconuts. Melissa is one of the quality brands.I use my cleaver and crack the top open. I drink the water chilled. Sometimes I make a smoothie with the water with the spooned out coconut meat, a frozen banana, papaya, and mango. Talk about tropical. Delicious! Sometimes I even add a tablespoon of peanut butter :)I have these canned coconut Juice as back up when I don't have the coconuts or I am on the go.I've tasted every coconut water out there. Most are from concentrate and taste like crap.There is only three I recommend: Amy & Brian, Nirvana, and C2O.Amy & Brian is sweeter and $1 per can more expensive, C20 is more nutty tasting at a $1 per can savings. Nirvana is also a great option that you'll be able to find at your local markets. SunTropics I was not too crazy about; It has a bit pungent sour taste. Cocoade on the other hand is not bad. It has a very light diluted non-sweet talcum powder taste.Whether fresh or in a can, I have coconut water daily!

I love this Coconut Water however paying $10.75 per can is absolutely insane! Seriously, do they really think that anyone would pay $10.75 per can when you're used to paying anywhere from $1.00 to $2.00 per can? There is no way this drink is worth $10.75 per can. I can only imagine that they think someone is crazy enough to pay that much. I used to buy this on Amazon for $12.00 (which is still more expensive than buying it in a local store). A little background about this particular brand. Cocoade used to be sold by a company in California (the website is still up, but they don't have any product in stock). It's been out of stock for well over a year. Last year, sometime during the summer mos. I was told by the local grocery store that I bought this from that the company had gone out of business and that the product they had in the store was the last that they would have. I immediately bought up every last case (approximately 18 cases). I got a deal on it because I had been buying it from the same store for about 2 years. I had a medical need for the coconut water and of all the brands out there that I had tried, Cocoade was the only one that even came close to drinking coconut water straight from the coconut. Unknown to me, I had severely low potassium and had to be infused with it. That was the most painful IV I've ever had. They warned me that I was going to feel like my body was on fire, but they had to do it or I could have a heart attack. So, I braved the first bag of it and on the 2nd bag they diluted it down by infusing Saline with the potassium. Upon discharge from the hospital the doctor told me to get some coconut water and keep it in my house to drink at least 2 or 3 cans a week. Apparently, coconut water is extremely high in potassium and the canned coconut water was the quickest, easiest way for the body to absorb the potassium. So, I tried, as mentioned above, almost every coconut water on the market. When I found Cocoade I found my coconut water. I used to live on an island in the South Pacific and we drank coconut water all the time when we were kids. Cocoade was the closest I've found to tasting like water right from the coconut. On to the story of Cocoade - it was distributed by a company out of CA. Finding out that they were going out of business from my local store led me to try and reach the CA distributor to see if I could buy up their inventory. No go - the distributor was already out of business (Cocoade was all they sold). I hit the jackpot on Amazon for awhile. Bought up a lot of stock until Amazon ran out. About 3 mos. after wiping out Amazon's stock I noticed that they were selling it again, except the price went up to about $2.00 per can. I was willing to pay that since I was addicted to the Cocoade brand. Once that stock ran out, all of sudden it appeared again, this time for about $64 a case. or $5.33 per can. No way in hell I was paying that much for coconut water. I had already straightened out my potassium issues, so it was no longer a medical necessity (thank God). Now I log on to Amazon and the stuff is selling for $10.75 per can. I have no idea why it's so expensive other than it sounds like it's shipping directly from Thailand. Well, Thailand can keep it for that price. So those of you who might be looking for Cocoade, sorry to disappoint you, but you won't find it anywhere in the US anymore. Looks like it can only be ordered from Thailand. There are a few alternatives out there that I've found that I like, but again, I don't drink it as much as I used to since I got my potassium issues cleared up. The only other coconut water I like is Taste Nirvana and Foco Coconut Water. Both taste somewhat close to drinking the coconut water straight from the fruit itself. Hope you find one that you like, it's so very good for you!

I drink lots of Coconut water and have tried lots of brands, so I know a little about good coconut water and this isn't it. If you are looking for super sweet almost artificially so then you might like this brand. I know it says 100% natural but just doesn't taste that way, it's very very sweet, like pop sweet. I'm going back to drinking CO2 and Nirvana, still the 2 best on the market.

I have been trying a multitude of coconut waters it seems. I tried this one based on the reviews, the price and the fact that I could have it delivered to my door. I actually liked this one quite a bit! I did not find it overly sweet at all. I don't like anything that is too sweet so this would have been a real issue for me. I cannot say that there is anything that I really "dislike" about the product. It is a really large can and I cannot drink the whole thing at once so I just pour it into another container and save it for later. I am not a huge fan of coconut water as it is, but I am drinking it for health reasons. I am happy to find one that I like.

I purchased two boxes of Cocoade. The taste was as expected, delightful and refreshing. As most of everyone else's experience, cans were dented. The box itself for one of the packages was nearly falling apart, and in that box the cans were significantly more dented than the first package, with 1/4 of the product having dents out and upright from the top of the can. Both boxes were Cocoade, so I'm not sure why one was in so much worst quality than the other.TL;DR - 4 stars for the product itself and a star off for the packaging.

wayyy too hard to believe this coconut water is 100% natural. It has a strong coconut flavor, similar to "blue coconut" flavor syrup used in snow cones and sonic drive-in drinks. I will stick with taste of nirvana.

I was lucky enough to order this before it got taken off from the massive amount of complaints from supposed dented cans!This was not the first coconut water I've had, I bought a different brand at costco and it reminded me of stale bread but I kept buying it because I was told it was great for after workout and the potassium for high blood pressure.This tastes clean and refreshing. It tastes like a coconut and I am seriously bummed that I can't order anymore! I ordered 2 cases, mine came fine, and even if it had been dented, does it affect the taste? If it wasn't leaking I don't get what all the fuss is about!

I drink a lot of coconut water from a lot of different brands. This stuff legitimately tastes weird.
