I bought the unscented version, and I'm happy to say it literally has no added fragrance. That seems obvious, but there are so many products that deceive you by being labelled 'organic' or 'natural' but still contain a mystery chemical 'fragrance' which usually smells like bad perfume.So this smells like, well, crushed plant leaves, or maybe nut oil. Not disagreeable at all. It is very noticeable when you smell it directly, but after the shower it basically has no detectable odor. You won't get those "your hair smells great" comments, but then again you won't get a headache (strong fragrances give me migraines).It works as well as a name brand conditioner. I have medium curly shoulder-blade length rock star hair (I'm a dude) and without conditioner I start to get massive knots that grow into what look like dreadlocks. This conditioner keeps my hair completely knot free, and way less frizzy.Also I appreciate the simple ingredients, lack of things like silicones, artifical colors, etc.

I have dry hair usually, i also have bouts of time where i dont tend to my hair the way im supposed to and it gets all tangly and dehydrated. I never write reviews on amazon but i’m hoping someone with similar hair to me will see this. IThis conditioner works so well, I dont even have to detangle before I go in the shower. I use both the shampoo and conditioner and I have no reason to switch honestly. I have made it through the entire bottle so I must add that I believe consistency truly helps.

This is the ONLY conditioner I’ve ever used on my daughter (now 3 years old).The first one lasted us probably 18 months and we still love it however it seems that the formula may have changed between the purchase of our 1st bottle and this bottle. The new bottle the conditioner is a lot thinner & runny almost, but it still has the same great scent & works just as well!

I initially bought this because I was looking for an unscented conditioner. I was worried that shea butter might be too greasy for my normal, untreated Caucasian hair. I was pleased to find that this product has a rich feel, yet rinses well, and leaves my hair soft and free of tangles.

I had to change all of my hair care products due to a new allergy. This conditioner was listed as a 100 on skin safe so I gave it a try. I have very fine hair and had to give up all my plumping hair products. It turned out to be the best thing ever because I didn't need them using this product. I highlight and color my hair every 4 weeks and this conditioner has protected my hair. It is a great value, I am also saving money not buying the expensive hair products I had been using-like living proof and it's a 10. Great product, please keep selling it here.

I have very long, thick hair that is prone to tangling, knots, and matting. I do not use any products with artificial fragrance in them, so I have tried many different "natural" brands that have simply not been moisturizing/detangling enough for my hair. This conditioner is the ONLY one I have found in stores that's ingredients meet my standards and detangle my hair! I use it as a shaving cream as well because of it's moisturizing effects. I have used this conditioner for over 2 years now. I will admit that the "Vanilla Mint" conditioner is the only one that has this effect on my hair. The other scents do not seem to be formulated the same, as they do not moisturize as well as this one does. The scent is so pleasant & light--& no artificial fragrance!! I highly, HIGHLY recommend Alaffia's "Vanilla Mint" conditioner for those who are looking for a conditioner that detangles and is one of the cleanest in stores!

I don’t know if I just got a bad batch but this stuff is so thin and runny and doesn’t feel like it’s conditioning my hair at all. When I put it on in the shower it doesn’t even feel like there’s anything in my hair. My hair is so dry and hard to detangle after my shower using this stuff. Going back to my previous conditioner, the Attitude unscented; it’s creamy and rich and my hair feels amazing afterwards. I’m literally baffled how this has such good reviews! No bueno!

Scent is not overpowering at all. This conditioner is the only one that's made my hair so sofft, and my hair barely gets any tangles in it anymore.
