I was eager to try out this shower head. When I opened the package, it looked simple to use, and even came with Teflon tape, so I didn't have to go searching where I put mine. Needless to say, my initial impression was a good one. Installation was simple enough. Self explanatory, and if you've never installed a shower head before, the instructions are very clear and easy to understand. Hand tightening was plenty, no leaking. Again, so far, so good. I did find the hose to be rather stiff, but not that big of a deal. Here's where things went south...I turned on the shower and the water pressure wasn't as string as my previous shower head. Not even close. In fact, the pressure was restricted enough that the massaging nozzle wouldn't turn, so, no massage setting. And the flow for the rest of the nozzles was just so so. Now, the hose does have a flow restrictor and I read one review where the reviewer admitted to removing that. I'll probably do the same and see how it goes. But, I shouldn't have to do that in the first place. My water pressure in my house is STRONG. So, the problem lies with this shower head. Maybe, in this climate of "save the planet", it's politically correct to restrict water flow, and that's why they did it. I don't know. All I know is that it harms the value of the product. That's why I'm giving 3 stars, because it doesn't work as advertised, out of the box. And also, it's priced a little high for what you get. $35 at Home Depot will get you a REALLY NICE shower head setup.I received this product at a discounted price for my honest and unbiased review. I purchased this item at a local store after my 10+ year old handheld (also white plastic) started getting small holes in the hose. I wanted something that was under twenty dollars (I paid fifteen) and easy to install. I was less concerned with water conservation and settings, but both of those needs were also met in purchasing this fixture.I think this product is good for the price I paid. It's not a high-end fixture, nor will it appeal to those looking for a good 'massage' shower head, but for bathing the kids, washing down the shower doors or similar, it will work fine.------------------------------------------------------------What I like about this product...1. It's inexpensive.2. It has a 5' flexible hose which is long enough for me to easily spray off the shower after cleaning and wash my dogs in the bathtub - two things I frequently do.3. The fixture saves 20% of water usage compared with traditional fixtures, although I did notice some limiting of the water pressure on certain settings which makes this both a pro and a con of this item for me.4. Easily fit on the existing plumbing out of the wall without any need for tools.5. Directions for installation are good; well marked and easy to follow drawings. Installation took only 5 minutes from the time I took it out of the package, removed old fixture and installed the new one.6. Handheld bracket easily swivels to direct spray if not using the handheld portion of the fixture.7. It's super-easy to switch the spray from one setting to the next on the handheld portion of the fixture.8. Rub clean nozzles can be wiped off with a Clorox wipe to easily clean off daily or weekly as needed.9. For plastic fixtures at this price point, they appear well made.10. Six settings: Full Body Wash, Power, Massage, Soft Spray, Drenching and Pause.----------------------------------------------What I wish was better...1. Included in the package was plumbing (Teflon coated) tape. No mention of where to use it or how in the directions.2. The package says there are installation videos at the website (simplycleanshowers dot com), but then when I went to the site - it was under construction. Some are on YouTube, but not simply 'how to' videos, more like promotional ones.3. The settings are nice to have, but only 3 worked well for me: Full Body Wash, Soft Sprayand Drenching. Massage, Pause (didn't shut off) and Power... not so much.4. There's a quirky little thing inside the hose that attaches to the base of the bracket that leaks after you shut off the water. It's normal per the instructions; a vacuum seal release to prevent back flow, but weird and quite possibly unnecessary.---------------------------------------------------For the price I paid it's OK, but not great.Will it last as long as the fixture it replaced? Who knows.Is it the best out there? Of course not!Do I recommend it to others? If you have basic needs like I do and are on a budget, this should work for you, but if you want a spa-like shower experience - keep looking.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
