Ancel Guava Paste with Jelly Center 18 oz

Sent them Ancel guava paste w jelly to keep enjoying the Miami sabor!!

Grew up with having this brand of guava paste with membrio as part of a Cuban/American Christmastime tray of cut up turrones & cut up Gouda cheese. The product is sweet & tasty.

This is a great and super delicious product that I have enjoyed over the years. This one was darkening , off color, not the fresh color and sticky—ie not fresh. Still edible but will have to use it up quickly. Disappointed.

This guava paste is perfect for the homemade pastelitos I make. The flavor is excellent and the consistency is perfect for my pastry. I have ordered it three times.Only thought I have is, I wish the jelly center was a strip that went from top to bottom and not just in center or at least offered that version in their product selections.Otherwise, I’m very happy with this guava.

The guava paste had great taste and texture. It was exactly like my Mom bought in the late 60's. I never expected it to be so delicious!

I made two separate purchases of the Ancel guava paste and with both purchases the texture of the guava paste was very thick. Not only was it difficult to cut the guava but the flavor was not fresh. I will not purchase this product again.

The product itself is DELICIOUS! But the brittle cellophane wrapper that envelops the sticky paste is very annoying. It's impossible to remove the wrapper easily, so it requires careful, tedious work to prevent serving pieces of cellophane along with slices of the guava paste. Ancel should use a more flexible, efficient wrapper -- many other products use them. But this outdated cellophane is something out of the 1930s! That's why I deducted two stars from what otherwise would have been a five-star review.

Put a thin slice on a saltine cracker with cream cheese.
