Good looking book/ bad story
The book was in good condition but the story fell flat in my opinion. It has a sense of espionage thriller but the eventually reveal did nothing other than encourage you to buy some (possibly more interesting) stories that spin out of this one. The story itself didn't really pull me in. Brian Michael Bendis did not do DC any favors with this one.

Awful story but good art
Really cool concept for a book. I liked all of the characters. But this is the definition of a pointless book. Absolutely nothing changes because of this book. You could tell that Bendis gave up on the run about 3 issues in. The art is fantastic by Alex Maleev, but that is to be expected at this point. The only other reason to buy this dumpster fire is for possibly the worst "reveal" ever. Or you can Google it instead. Save your money. Not worth it. 3/10

Only if you've read everything leading up to this
Unless you are reading all of the other leviathan stuff I don't recommend. Artwork is good but very slow

Boring
Such a boring "event", everybody is just standing around playing detective. The reveal was also pointless. Save your money, you honestly are not missing out on a thing.
Q**.
Who cares...
When Bendis wrote Man of Steel in 2018, many people loved that book, mostly because it seemed to be a return to the Superman of Pre-Flashpoint. In my opinion, Bendis gets the character/voice of Superman, but everything else about that book and Man of Steel are extremely boring, predictable, and a whole bunch of who cares. In that series, Bendis laid the seeds for a villain called Leviathan, while also bringing back Jor-El/Mr. Oz, and also doing what I consider to be a huge mistake, aging up Jon Kent, seemingly just to have him be part of Legion and not part of the Superman book anymore because Conner Kent is back in Young Justice (also written by Bendis). If you've ever read any of his work at Marvel, you know that Bendis doesn't care for continuity as long as it satisfies his story, so none of these moves should shock anyone. In comes this book, and it is the most decompressed, boring, and whatever event I've read at DC since Flashpoint. All the events of this series could have happened in a single issue, and it makes all of our heroes seem like such idiots that they couldn't defeat or solve the mystery presented. Surprisingly, it isn't even Batman who solves the mystery, I won't spoil it, but another character does, and while it is within character, it's wholly unsatisfying considering this was built up to be a hero/Superman book. The art also isn't great, Maleev is a great artist, but I don't think his style fits the superheroics and capes and cowls, his art works best when it deals with street level heroes and villains, not characters who are larger than life like Superman. His work on Daredevil displays this the best, the muted colors and dark setting work perfectly to show off the character's true nature and gritty crime fighting ways. Here, it looks extremely odd to see Superman, a hero who exemplifies the best of super heroes in dark muted colors and gritty lining. I won't spoil the ending, but the solution to the mystery and the reveal of who/what Leviathan is doesn't make sense, and leaves no intrigue in the future of whatever Leviathan is (he/they are still haunting the Superman titles to this date, written by Bendis). DC Events need to be better, especially when comparing them with Marvel events recently such as War of the Realms, Absolute Carnage, HOX/POX. These events are supposed to be fun and a blast to read, not depressing and hopelessly useless.

Failed Execution
The Leviathan Event isn't a bad idea. There's a new shadowy threat called determined to bring order at any cost. Lois Lane decides that what's needed to solve the case is to bring together the DC universe's greatest detectives. This is good...in theory. The problem is that this is a case of way too many cooks. There are simply too many detectives running around, essentially clustered together in large groups, with some dominating and some just contributing enough banter that we can say, "Yeah, that character was in this comic."Instead, we get a lot of build up and a few plot points about how dangerous Leviathan is and it's hard to care about any of it. The solution to the case is unsatisfying which makes this a pretty disappointing miss for Brian Michael Bendis.

More like Event Le-Why-athan
After catching up on this series on the DC Universe app (as well as all of the Action Comics stuff leading up to it) I am very glad that I did not pay money for this book. I just finished it and I have so many questions:—Why was this mainly a Superman story? It didn’t seem to have anything to say about him as a character.—Why did they assemble “DC’s greatest detectives” (some of which I would not define that way at all; I mean, Green Arrow? What?!) and then proceed to have them do precisely zero detective work the entire story?—Why then introduce a *second* group of detectives in the second-to-last issue who did absolutely nothing except open a portal to get Lois to a place she could have already been in?—Why did this take about a good twenty issues collectively when it could have been two? We hear the same information over and over again and the characters mostly stand around talking about things we already know.Bad. Just bad. Do not buy.

Cierre excelente a historia
Continua a las historias de Superman en Action Comics por BENDIS. Excelente desarrollo de investigación sumando algunos personajes incluyendo algunos no-tan famosos de DC. El arte es impecable. Diálogos excelentes. Muy recomendado.
