Great tortillas
Great product, easy to use and makes perfect tortillas. Definitely worth paying a bit extra for a solid cast iron one.

Does the job
I was after a tortilla press but I was a bit skeptical about which one to buy based on reviews of several brands (most reviews were mixed). I strayed away from cheap ones and decided to spend a bit more and go for cast iron.I’m happy with my purchase of the ICO one. I’ve used it several times to make corn masa tortillas for tacos (usually 10 cm size) which it does quite well and makes light of the job. I’ve not tried any other kind of dough. This is unseasoned cast iron, so it came with some protective paper - this wasn’t much use because my dough stuck to it, however it works fine using non-stick baking paper

Unusable.
So badly designed as to be totally unusable. The dough would have to be practically final thickness before the handle could bring any leverage to bear.

Keto nachos as so easy with this!
I've never used one of these before but it has transformed my tortillas & rôtis. So quick & easy to use.I bought this for making rôtis & haven't used it for a while because I'm now on a low carb diet. I was craving nachos when making some with bought tortilla chips for my son so I looked up a keto recipe for tortillas & made some using this to get the dough thin enough. It worked brilliantly.I have also made keto wraps for sausages as an alternative to hot dogs. The only drawback is that it only comes with 2 paper circles. Now I need more. I tried silicon liner as an eco alternative but it's too thick. To get thin, even tortillas & rôtis it needs greaseproof paper or baking parchment. So glad I bought it.

Worked fine for 4 dinners but on the 5th the handle snapped
this made really good flatbreads on four attempts, but on the 5th use the IRON handle has snapped, not on an obvious joint, but across the metal - very strange how this could happen with iron,Amazon are no longer offering me the option to return.......

Great product
I've been trying to find this for the longest time and I'm so happy I finally did. I can make proper tortillas once again! It distributes the dough so evenly that you would think they're straight out of the shop (minus all the nasty conservatives)Highly recommend

Worth a go for this price
Really poor. Followed the cleaning instructions. Within an hour a small rust spot appeared. Made sure it was dry again, within 4/5 hours the whole press was riddled with rust.****Update**** after the seller contacted me and really bent over backwards to help I received a replacement and was given some care advice.A few weeks and a few uses later and I think I have it cracked.I recommend regular oiling as this should stop any rust from occurring. I also recommend buying one of those bbq grill sheets and cutting two discs. Put your dough ball in between them that way no dough should touch the press and the beauty of the grill sheets is that you can then put them straight on the pan. Why? Well one issue with the dough is that it is very elastic and will retract and shrink in size and you end up with a tiny thicker tortilla. If you put the discs straight on the pan the tortilla or flatbread will stay that size and be thin. It’s not perfect as they can be a little feathery round the edges, but for the speed I can get them done I can live with that.Again oil regularly and avoid too much contact with water.
