If you want extensive info on IF there are better books out there - but if you want to ...
I'm an entrepreneur myself and a bodybuilding fanatic. I was familiar with leangains where it all started and knew about IF. I had a friend who got insanely ripped following the principles and IF and I decided it was time to change things. This book was exactly what I needed. I understand it will be a dissappointment for those looking for more extensive info on the subject yet all you need to know is in here. I remember that it took me ages to kinda figure out how it all worked by googling - and Peter just saved me a couple of hours doing just that.If you want extensive info on IF there are better books out there - but if you want to quickly grasp the main principles this is perfectly fine to start with. I myself am a fan of sticking to the essentials and not getting 100s of pages of semi-fluff in my brain everytime I want to read a book with the goal of learning ONE THING. Hence, I was pleasantly surprised with the simple guide.

No magic pill just great information.
I started my fast six days ago after reading this book and have lost 5 pounds following the information given. I have been working with the 20 and 18 hour fast alternating between the two doing some experimenting. The information contained in this book is easy to follow, straight forward and very helpful to me, as I knew nothing about fasting. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking to start a fast. Like I said it has't been a week yet and I am already getting some very positive results from this. Prior to fasting I was working out with weights 5 days a week and doing cardio 1-2 days a week and fighting to stay at 200 pounds, eating the prescribed 5-6 small meals per day. My goal is to lose 20 pounds I feel with the information I have from this book I can do it, after all I have lost one fourth of the weight already in day of my first week.

Not a big book, but very concise, so it doesn't need to be big.
There is probably a lot to know about the science of intermittent fasting, but many people who want to lose weight would like the practical, useful information now and might read the intricate science later. This book zeroes in on the brass tacks of Intermittent Fasting and is easily readable in one evening. And if you've never thought about this concept before or are on one of those eating regimens that call for prepping three meals and 2-3 snacks per day, this is a fascinatingly easy way to work your eating regimen in to a busy schedule very easily. It is straight forward in it's presentation of the material, I took Peter's presentation to heart and started Intermittent Fasting right after finishing the book. In the first 4 days I lost 6 pounds. Haven't been able to get below 200 for 15 years, and now I'm closing on it rapidly and it seems like I'm not even trying. Great, concise book! No fluffy filler, just straight to the point! Well worth the read.

Really? I paid $2.99 for this?
At a cost of only $2.99 and a length of about thirty pages I was a little skeptical that this book would have the information that I needed to start intermittent fasting (IF) with the confidence that I wanted and it turns out I was right to be skeptical. While the author does give good general guidelines and time prescriptions to do intermittent fasting effectively I thought a lot of his statements were overblown and important information was neglected or outright ignored. One thing that I thought was critically important that the author doesn’t even mention was the importance of calorie counting to meet your weight loss / muscle building goals not to mention any formula on how to calculate your macronutrients. If you are looking to lose weight or gain muscle and you aren’t hitting your correct calorie count it doesn’t matter if you’re doing IF or not, you will not meet your goals. IF is just a method that has a lot of health benefits and makes it easier to stay in calorie compliance. That’s all. In short this is a highly (HIGHLY!) simplified book and you would be better off going to certain websites for free. Leangains.com is one and is really where the 16/8 and the 18/6 method originated from. Another good one is kinobody.com or nogym.net. I wish I would have just looked through the archives on these websites before buying this book because those websites had all the information I was looking for and then some. I hope this review will be helpful to others out there who were in my shoes.

didn't work for me as well
I'm only giving it 3 stars because I want to work with it more than the two weeks that i've been doing it. I think it's a unique approach, but, if you have a lot of weight to lose, then , this may not be for everyone. I have looked at videos and the results of people doing this approach and they have all been about people who have 20 lbs or less to lose. These people have done great and I applaud them. For people who have 100 plus lbs to lose, this may be a bit extreme way to go about it. I have lost 5 lbs in two weeks but I have felt light headed almost the whole time and weak. I have eaten healthy, the way it says to eat, but I expected more weight loss than that. Like I said, I am going to stay on it for at least a month and see how I feel and I may adjust my rating then.Good Luck to everyone fighting the weightloss hell.

The title says it all.
Peter's book is all you need to get started on Intermittent Fasting. The book is concise and to the point, a great read for someone not needing or wanting all the scientific details for intermittent fasting. I have read other detailed books on Intermittent Fasting and the information provided by Peter is very accurate. I gave this book 4stars instead of 5stars because I thought a little more information weight training could have been provided. I highly recommend this book to for anyone wanting to try Intermittent Fasting for the first time.

Great place to start
This is my first introduction to Intermittent Fasting ... and I picked a good place to start. In this book author Peter Paulson gives a thorough explanation of the "what's", "how's", and "why's" of this new approach to eating (basically cycling periods in which you eat with periods that you don’t eat). There appear to be a lot of benefits (fat loss, lean muscle increase, more energy, etc.). This book is a great place to start to get all your questions answered and to make a decision about whether this is a program that's right for you.

common sense
This is a very short book, summarises key information as to why its good to undertake intermittent fasting. It is well written but once you've read the reasons why the crux of the read is within 24 hours have eating windows of 8,6 or 4 hours, rest of time fast. I did not need to read this for that snippet of info sigh. I've saved you all £2. An after thought, I could start getting rich writing booklets like this.

Intermittent Fasting works. Short but concise book.
It's a very short and concise guide but gives all the information you need. For the Kindle version it's a fair price I think.Despite exercising and eating healthily I had great trouble losing fat. Intermittent fasting is the only thing that seems to work for me in that regard. I've noticed a big surge in the amount of muscle I have put on in my workouts and I've actually lost fat at the same time. At last!

Interesting and informative
Easy to understand (written for dummies 👍)Interesting facts and wotnot, although the 'eat what you want' during your feeding window is a tad misleading as I only started to lose after cutting carbs to a minimum and trying to have cal deficit 👍

Basic and Usefull
This book is definitely a good introduction. Don’t expect significant details and specifics. If you’re interested in IF and want to take the first step, I would highly recommend this.Seasoned Pro’s should look elsewhere
