These are sick!! I love these for my Milwaukee impact driver paired with the sunex 1/4" swivel set and a magnetic 10 mm. Man what a deal!! My longest one has a defect where the ball gets stuck if you over extend it but I just unlock it with my fingernail. I dont care just dont open it too wide and to install the socket press right on.. after a few months of dealership abuse I'm truly satisfied with the locking features. Chrome sockets dont retain well when they are worn out. I imagine any worn socket will fall out. I would purchase a brand new impact quarter inch set to pair with this and a milwaukee impact driver and you will be please !!Update 6/1/19 ** still using these DAILY, amazing product. i have a 12 mm set on the short one, and a 10 mm magnetic set on the long one 90 percent of the time. the mid length one i will use for other various things like swivels, etc. no problems at all.

While working in places where recovery of a socket could be deemed "one for the homies", security of said socket is paramount. Add in some magnet sockets with a little care, you become a fastener genie.Spring ball detent type socket holding mechanisms are convenient and adequate for most working conditions. However, if you are using an impact driver 8 hours a day with any type of wobble socket or adapter... you'll find yourself sending sockets and wobbles at the speed of sound with unknown trajectory.Only criticism would be, if you pull the lock sleeve too far, the ball can be shifted the wrong direction and will need to be reset. In time saved, these have paid for themselves many times over within a month of use.

Expensive, but this is the only locking extension solution I found that actually works for what I do. Matco offers one like the shortest one, but sockets fall off occasionally due to the lock design.This requires two hand to install a socket, but at least I don't loose 8mm or 10mm sockets under a battery tray or airbox anymore.

I have a 1/4 hex impact driver that I like to use for sockets at times. rather than stacking extensions I use these adapters. it's nice that the sockets stay on the extensions and also that they won't fly off if you free spin the driver with a socket on it. Quality piece

These are nice, they lock and unlock perfectly. My only complaint is I find myself wishing the short one was shorter and the longest one was longer. No big deal to add an extension to the long one. The short one being long as it is has caused access issues so, I had to grab my non-locking one. Not that big a deal, and not enough to subtract a star.

Amazing set, never drop a sockets. Blast it with my driver daily.Advise: don't put an adapter on the back and go at it with a ratchet, you will twist the small back end out of place. I abuse my tools at times but I just twisted it back on a vise. If SK doesn't warranty it for obvious reasons I'd gladly get another
