Great for a Gen 1 system
I have a Gen 1 monocular that I used to use for night viewing of wildlife. Using one eye at a time really detracted from its usefulness. These binoculars, however, have a great independent focusing system, and though only Gen 1, are immensely better at viewing at night. They seem very well built also.

This thing is a joke!
I can't believe the 4 and 5 star ratings on this thing. It looks like you would pay about $50 for this piece of junk. You can see better in the dark with a penlight than you can with this thing. It looks and performs like an inexpensive toy. I returned mine in about 30 minutes. Don't be mislead by the other reviews. Stay away!

Good Product
I got this at a discount so I cannot say how I would feel if I paid full price. However, I will say that the product appears to be well made and it does the job.It does not have any significant distortion and the image is good.My only issue with it is that you have to focus each lens seperately. This takes a little time but the image is very good.I do think this is a good product and would recomend it to someone like me who wants to look at turtles on the beach and for general use. I purchased this because my area is sometimes subjected to extended power outages as well and this product provides some additional security.The fact that it uses standard AAA batteries is a real plus as well.This is not a toy. Solid build.

Sold as new, but item was obviously heavily used.
Insulting deception. Item was advertised and invoiced as new but was obviously used, badly worn and damaged. Came in a box marked up with white tape covering the part and serial numbers, no documentation, no carry case, not factory packed. Pathetic.
