fits my lifesaver
This bag fits my lifesaver 6000 water bottle/filter perfectly, I keep extra carbon filters in the front, 2 extra sponges in the bottom and a light on the zipper, my only complaint is that with the bottle inside, the front pouch becomes very small. There is space inside the main pocket for some plastic water collection bags and I am currently looking for a metal cup that the lifesaver will fit inside of so it can go down inside of the maxpedition bag.The fabric is a very tight weave synthetic that is water repellent and very durable, the zippers have a very positive pull that some may think is a little too tight but I think is a sign of good quality. On the subject of the zippers, I do not know if they are meant to be water tight but I do no that they are very water resistant with a tight tooth and an extra large 'flap' over the zipper, they repel and resist water and leakage extremely well.As a result of the water resistant construction and tight zippers, I have felt comfortable using the water bottle case as a water collection device.I leave a single sponge in the bottom of the bottle holder, empty the case of it's contents and zip all of the pockets shut, then I tie a piece of paracord onto the two d rings to make a long loop (30 or so feet of paracord makes a 15 foot loop.)I cast it into a river, stream or pond where I let it slowly "sink" as water seeps in through the drainage grommet on the bottom of the main compartment, this seeping "prefilters" the water through the lifesaver sponge, after the bottle holder has sunk I just pull it right to shore, through the sand, weeds and mud, and access the water inside which I drain either into a collection bag or into the lifesaver for filtration. The small size of the drain grommet and water resistant construction allows me to do this several times and fill all of my water bottles without the bottle holder getting water logged and the high internal volume means that I can fill 6 whilrpak 1ltr bags and the lifesaver in just 4 or 5 "casts" of the maxpedition water bottle holder.Final word, this is a great product that keeps another great product safe and adds to it's functionality!

Quality
Like others I've been debating if it's worth the money and it IS top gear quality. The fabric is thick, sturdy and insulated. This can hold all five C's; Container, Combustion, Cordage, Cover, and Cut. You can attach it all to the sides and store other gear in the roomy pouch. It can be used instead of a pack using a shoulder strap. It also stashes good in or attached to a ruck sack with the molle webbing all around the bag. My only gripe is, the molle straps have to be purchased separately.

Perfect fit for Jet Boil and the fuel can! Very durable, padded, perfect.
I have many years of daily use on my maxpedition gear, and continue to purchase these superior designs and material versions of gear you can find from others, but never with this durable quality. I got this to fit my Jet Boil AND fuel in one container and can use the PAL/Molle attachment to my (Maxpedition) packs. It fits PERFECTLY! (even padded)

Fits 70-200 mm f2.8 lens
I brought this to use as a lens case for a Tamron 70-200 mm f2.8 lens. It fits like it was made for it! This with the lens shade in shooting position and with a rear lens cap.One concern was the metal grommet in the bottom. I was concerned it might scratch my lens, especially my wide angle since the front element is curved.I solved this by cutting a 1/2" thick piece of closed cell foam. This was cut in about a 4 1/2" circle and fits nicely in the bottom of the pouch. The pouch is mounted on a molle chest rig and keeps my lens handy. I did have a difficulties with the Maxpedition Tac-ties. Maybe just a bad day but could never get both in place. Currently it's mounted with zip-ties but will probably swap out with Blackhawk speed strips. The front pouch is big enough to easily hold an iPhone 6 in a heavy case, an altoid tin and a micro fiber cloth.Great build quality as usual for Maxpedition. Only negatives at the Tac-ties and a strap on the rear that's not removable. I just folded it up and stuffed it behind the pouch.

Price is high, but worth it.
I've been on the fence for the past year and a half about buying this. I always get to the point where I am ready to hit the purchase button, but then something always kept me from doing it. I think it's the price.I won't lie, the price is high. But, this is Maxpedition Ladies and Gentleman. This will always be a step up from the other brands.I finally somehow got past the price and completed my order. As it was in shipping, I had some serious buyers remorse. And, I even thought to myself that I would just return it.It arrived, and I played with it for like 5 minutes and then I was completely sold and wished I would have bought it a long time ago.The quality of materials is the best you will ever find. Throw a shoulder strap on it and this thing is a lot more comfortable to wear then a big backpack on a short day trail. It surprisingly holds a lot more than you would think. Fits my Klean Kanteen 40oz wide mouth and a space saver cup like it was more for it with a little room at the top for some extra gear.My only other gripe will not be an issue much longer is there is a huge break in time on these zippers. But we all know that it'll happen. If you're like me and debating about getting this, just do it... You will be happy.
