Fantastic customer service!
This bike rack works exactly as expected. I am very impressed by the Maxxhaul customer service. I needed to order a few additional parts so that I could use the bike rack on my camper. Maxxhaul customer service responded very quickly to every email message and had the parts I needed to me in just a few days. I will definitely shop Maxxhaul the next time I need any product they make.

Solid bike carrier
Assembly took me about 10 minutes for a quick and straightforward, especially with the helpful video on the product page. It holds two bikes securely, and the tilt feature is spot on. I can lower the tailgate without removing the bikes, which is a huge convenience. Solid product overall!

i LIKE IT
NOT good for E-Bikes with 16" tires AND smallerThe E-bike's brake rotors will get pried apart/out/BENT by at least 1/4" .. will destroy E-bike brake rotors when car is bouncing up and down the road.HOWEVER if you DIY FLIP the tire holder UP side down the tire holder will no longer touch the brake rotor and will hold the bike by the tires .. a bit deeper down / higher up. This however WILL make it so that less metal (TIRE HOLDER BARS/rack) will make contact and at a lower point to hold the bike via the tire. NOT sure if it's safe for the NORMAL people. This rack however is PERFECT for ALL REGULAR BIKES.I'm keeping it with my DIY fix and knowing the possible outcomes. As far as materials and durability goesVERY NICE AND THICK METAL ALL AROUNDVERY STURDY FOR SUREWILL TAKE A SLEDGE HAMMER OR BETTER TO BREAK THIS SOLID BIKE RACK

Great value for the price
I just drove cross country from PA to San Francisco, CA (2500+ miles) with this bike rack on the back of my Sierra 1500 and a single 10-speed bicycle. No problems whatsoever. I never had to re-tighten anything although i did check every so often. Very, very satisfied. I bought a 12 mil tarp from Harbor Freight to keep the weather off it. I could completely open the tailgate when necessary. Fantastic product. A slight wobble that posed no issues during the trip. Proves you need not spend alot of money to get the value out of a product. Highly recommend.

useless instructions
It appears to be made ok. I upgraded from the kind where the bicycle hangs off. I haven't taken a trip yet. The manual is useless. Just show a picture of the rack. If a person has no mechanical ability, it may a hard to put together. It was package well. There are a lot of moving parts to get a bicycle into the proper position. I will update review after a travel experience

Easy to load the bike
I decided to get this style to replace my old rack which had arms the bike would hang from. Load the front wheel first so it doesn’t flop around. Also spray the upright pole with WD40 so you can slide the frame brace up and down since it is tight. I don’t recall any tools being needed for assembly. I don’t thing the instructions were very good but pictures help. Taking the wheel rests off makes carrying the rack lighter and keeping them inside the car might prevent theft since it’s useless without them! It does wobble some but I haven’t added the stabilizer that comes with it. Tightening the bolt next to the front reflector helps stop the wobble. Aluminum would be lighter but it is a good quality for the price.
