Most versatile stabilizer on the market.
I am a wedding videographer and I need a stabilizer that will fit my style of shooting and hold up in all conditions. I need a stabilizer that can quickly adjust to the weight and balance of different cameras and lenses on command. The following are just a few reasons why this device has been worth the extra money:- they added the quick release plate feature (awesome!)- fine tune adjustment nobs (correctly balanced unit in less the 45 seconds)- smaller camera mounting platform for quick battery and card swap capabilities- quick release sliding gimbal on central post for different camera/lens weights and low upside down shots- large/soft padded grip for better control- I don't like any stabilizers thatI considered getting the GlideCam HD-4000 and went for this instead with no regrets.Devin Graham Signature Series stabilizer for cameras 2-12 lbs by Glidecam

No Go for theUrsa Mini Pro, without vest
Bought this for my ursa mini Pro, great thing is that it works. Bad thing is that you won’t last more than 20 seconds flying it. Its so freaking heavy. 100% recommend this for a lighter camera. If u have a heavy camera, ursa, arri, red, do not buy without buying a vest to go with it. Trust me. Returned mines after one day.

Best glidecam on the market.
I can't say enough great things about this. The build quality is top notch, and the ease of use is out of this world. I've used other camera stabalizers in the past but this one is outstanding. The simple two nob system for adjusting the left/right and forward/back balance is a lifesaver on location, it literally takes a minuet or two to balance after a lens change. Also, the Manfroto plate that comes with it makes it work with all my other tripod gear. Plus, I'm paying it off using the 0 interest 12 month plan on my amazon card, that substantially lessons the blow of the $800 price tag.If you are seriously about shooting video and want to get smooth steady shots, buy this. you won't regret it.

simple and useful in design
It's well-built, simple and useful in design. The only reason for the 4 of 5 is that I still wonder if getting a powered gimbal would have been the better way to go, as this is still tedious to use by its nature. But for what it is, it's great.

Good...but get the HD-Pro instead
Glidecams are awesome tools, the shots I'm able to get are super smooth. Love the quick release plate and the quick-adjustment knobs. One critical flaw in this particular model's design though - the gimbal won't stay in the same place on the shaft. It's designed to be moveable when you loosen it, but this is really an unnecessary feature, it's just as easy to extend the length of the shaft. And the HUGE downside is that this moving gimbal causes the shaft to slip slowly over time, throwing off the balance of the glidecam so it has to be re-aligned and adjusted very frequently, probably once every half hour or so. This is a really annoying problem. The newer Glidecam HD-Pro has the same good features of this model without the adjustable gimbal, so it's a far better option.

Superb! But Beware of Cold Temps.
This product was incredible, but there are some things you need to know if you're having this delivered in a cold area!Although the product is superb, upon delivery, there was one noticeable negative. There are little nubs on the bottom of the base that are glued on. The cold weakened the glue and 2-3 of them fell off. As long as you put them back on, and let them warm up, they'll stick how they are suppose to, but in cold weather these may come off. A minor inconvenience, but an inconvenience nonetheless. That being said, this product is incredible. Devin and the Glidecam team did amazing things combining great materials, to simple innovations that save tons of time. 10/10 would recommend to an amateur filmmaker.
