Outdated. It is for NCLEX-RN but it is based on older test plan. Make sure you are not buying 7 years old test plan.
I am not sure how familiar you are with how NCLEX-RN tests are created. So if you do not know how it is done then here is your chance to learn it.The National Council of State Boards of Nursing comes up with the test plan for NCLEX-RN by conducting a practice analysis study. They do this every 3 years. The second to last practice analysis study was done in 2008, which was the basis for the new test in April 2010. Once the new test plan is introduced, it is good for 3 years, which means, Practice Analysis study in 2008, plan introduced in April 2010 and good until April 2013. The most recent Practice Analysis study was done in 2011, plan introduced in April 2013, and it is good until April 2016. This cycle goes on every 3 years. The test plan changes every time. Now I was NCLEX-RN student in 2012. which means that my test plan would be the one that was introduced in 2010. When I bought this item, It was titles as 2012 NCLEX-RN AUDIO LEARN. Call me a nerd but I knew the exact test plan by heart so I can prepare myself appropreately for the test. So I ordered it and received the product promptly. The CD set that I had received it was for the test plan that was conducted in 2005 and introduced in 2007, and it was good until 2010. After 2010, that test plan is no longer valid. How can I prove that your set is based on older product? Well, very simple. Play the 1st CD from this CD set and go to the track number 2. It clearly says in it that, this item is based on 2005 test plan which was introduced in 2007. The track # 2 also states all of the information listed in attached table. There are two possible things I can think happened here. Either the seller did not know what they were listing on Amazon or They listed an older version purposefully pretending it’s new. It does not really matter to me if they knew what they were doing or not. I don’t have any personal vendetta with them or their company. Now two years later Amazon asked me to review this prodcut. When I looked at it it does not say 2012 OR 2014 NCLEX-RN. Now it just says NCLEX-RN Audio Learn. So I am guessing that after my complaint, they have removed the year. Now I am not sure if they still have the same version of CDs or updated plan.So new buyers beware that you are getting latest version or latest test plan version of this CD which mean latest test plan of NCLEX. I would say that this would be a great product if it is not outdated. When I complaint this to seller, I did not get any response back. Then I complaint to Amazon and they sent me second set of CDs stating that It is new, but I ended up getting same exact. Anyways I ended up returning the product. Thanks to Amazon, I got my full refund. So if you buy this product, please listen to to track # 2 on first CD and it will tell you about the test plan.

Somewhat helpful, but not worth the $200 investment
I have a 45 minute drive each way for nursing school every day. I wanted to use that time productively by reviewing NCLEX questions on the trip. I thought this set would be perfect but was immediately disappointed when it arrived. There is no content information regarding the subject on each disk. It's hit or miss with 12 disks, so when you play them you will need to write up your own content list. Really, how tough would that have been to provide. Secondly, questions are answered in a multiple choice format, which the speaker tells you to take notes on. Hey, I'm driving?! So I remembered the letter of my choice of answers and listened for the correct answer. You get rationale, but other than the first section, they don't tell you the letter of the correct answer. It would have been nice if they told you the letter, followed by the correct statement..THEN gave you the rationale. I have programs for NCLEX for my home computer. I really needed something that would aid me when I wasn't sitting at a disk. Finally, the audio quality varied quite a bit from really good, to sounding like the speaker was in a box. When they transitioned from one narrator to another, it was abrupt. At least I kept awake while driving. I could live with this, though $200 was twice what the set was worth..UNTIL...disk three was defective and an entire section wouldn't play. At that point I sent it back and got a replacement. I never got further on the disk so I don't know if the rest of the 12 disk set worked well. Amazon was awesome in sending me my replacement immediately. I would have considered a refund, but I still need an audio set and this appears to be the only one out there that is current.

Good for overview not question/answers
Narrator goes very fast! I listen to these in my car and audio reviews are hard to find so I appreciate just having these. The answers are not always clear either. The narrator goes through rationales of the answers but rarely states which one is the correct answer. Again I just love having the cd to listen to I just wish the answers were more clear and she didn't speak so fast.

it's like listening to the computer voice prompts when you call ...
CDs are not organized, labeled so that you know what the topic is for that cd, and a computer voice speaks instead of a real person. They only time you hear a real person is in the intro. After that, it's like listening to the computer voice prompts when you call customer service on the phone.

I finally passed!!!
When I received my Authorization to Test two months ago, I did not know where to start. After 15 years of attending endless review classes and purchasing countless review books, and failing the NCLEX-RN test, I told myself that I will try something new and I googled "RN review, audio, NCLEX, CD" and this 12 CD set was in the list...Thank God, I bought it and my husband even downloaded all 12 CD's in my Ipod for further convenience!!! I listened to all 12 CD's over and over for a month... I did not pick up any book to compare or verify the materials I was listening to... I just listened...in the car, on the bed, doing housework, shopping..everywhere!!! My brain woke up with the constant rambling of the speaker and began to remember the past 4 years of college education I had...Wowwwww!!!! I listened to the 12 CD which also included a comprehensive exam with rationale on the last 2 CD's at least 2-3 times for a whole month and took my test two days after and passed!!!! I answered 76 questions and passed!!!! The consistent reminder of the speaker as I listen to her with my earphone seemed to give me better retention capacity than if I listened to an actual instructor or read the information on my own. This review is highly recommended for all working mothers who have tried every possible review, needs a flexible schedule and a refresher course in entry level nursing....

NCLES Review
The CDs are well organized. However, would appreciate having the topics of each CD written on the label. The person reading the material is clearly not a medical care giver. Pronunciation of terminology is often incorrect.

AudioLearn Book is USELESS, OUTDATED and NOT AT ALL GOOD
Horrible product- out of date and not reflective of the RN NCLEX exam. May have been minimally useful 10 years ago but not now. Do NOT waste one penny on this garbage

Very good and comprehensive. I wish there was an online/written version of the same. It helps me read just what I want to review at any given time.

Old test plan.
Old test plan!!!!! 2007 Very dissatisfied. It's 2015. The test plan changes like every 3 years. The new NCLEX has select all questions. This doesn't.
