CocoonMCP3401BK Slim 15" Backpack with Built-in Grid-IT!® Accessory Organizer (Black)

I bring this backpack to work with me every day and I've never seen a single rip or tear. It's still in perfect shape and it works as intended.I've had this product for over a month now and I haven't had any issues with it. I use it to carry my Macbook Pro, charger, and iPad. And then I store a bunch of little gadgets and cables in the Grid-It pocket. It's great for all that! I think the problem is people are expecting this bag to carry more than it's intended to. It's a SLIM backpack, it's not meant to carry heavy or big objects like textbooks or big gaming laptops. Just keep that in mind if you're thinking about buying it. It's perfect for a skinny, light laptop and some little things.. but it's not gonna work for anything heavy or bulky.

Backpacks are part of life. Like turtle's shells, we just can't seem to live without them. The problem I have had is that most backpacks are made to carry as much stuff as you can possible fit in them. A sure fire recipe for scoliosis. So I started a quest for a low-profile backpack that didn't break my back or the bank. Cocoon, is not in your face with sponsored positioning but when I found it I was delighted. I ordered the 13" and the 15" versions to compare and settled on the 13" model. It was better made and a better price. I have been using it for several months now and I have not looked back once. It is comfortable, good looking and my favorite: low-profile. I can easily fit my 14" MacBook Pro or my 16" MacBook Pro or both if I need to. The grid is handy for arranging chargers, cables, pens, etc. I am extremely happy with this backpack. Thank you Cocoon for thinking of the end user that isn't inclined to take the kitchen sink when they head out the door!

It is a durable, light and secure backpack workcase for lots of gadgets on the GRIDit... the top handle is less durable than I want, and have had my old one repaired twice, but zippers, storage, padding, and back straps are all excellent. I bought this one as a spare as I want o be sure this "Good thing" stays around for a while. I recommend the Cocoon *****

I ordered mine just before the start of the 2016-2017 school year. 9 months later and it still works well. The Grid-It strap system is super satisfying to use and never fails to amaze classmates.By around winter break, however, one of the shoulder straps started to fray at the seams, and by spring break, the tear became so large that the padding fell out of the strap's sleeve. However, upon contacting Cocoon at their main website with my problem, they sent me a new backpack for free, not even asking for the broken one back!Beyond that one setback, the backpack has been otherwise great. All other aspects of the bag seem to be high-quality. I keep my laptop-tablet in the padded compartment of the bag, and despite having no case on, my daily commute hasn't managed to damage my device.Also shout-out to Unbox Therapy for introducing me to this awesome backpack.

I have been carrying around a briefcase type bag for a while and was getting tired of it. So glad I saw this bag, I work in IT and love being able to carry my Surface Pro 4, chargers, screwdrivers, SD cards, etc. all safely and securely in the GRID IT portion of the bag. It's nice knowing things are at the bottom of the bag getting beat up. This is just big enough to carry all the items I need and be comfortable on my shoulder.2 YEAR 8 MONTH UPDATE - Well, I still love the bag, but the left strap started to tear about 1 year after purchase, after the 2-year mark it finally ripped through all the way. I haven't been using it recently, but I am in the market for a new bag so I wanted to see if they had an updated design. I have dropped my rating from 5 to 4 stars, and hope they have made adjustments to their stitching.

I REALLY like this bag. And I am REALLY disappointed that it is so poorly manufactured. Cocoon have replaced the bag 3 times already and they have all disintegrated.. With the first one, the zipper broke within a 6-7 months of purchasing and using it. I contacted Cocoon, sent them pictures of the broken zipper and loose threads around the zipper and they promptly sent me a new one. GREAT I thought. Customer service is excellent !!!.Sadly, within 6 months of using the new bag, I noticed that the threads holding the shoulder strap to the bag at the bottom were broken and the strap was starting to fray. As you can see in the attached image, it's barely holding on and the foam inside is popping out.The design of this bag is perfect for an everyday, simple and minimalist MacBook Pro and accessories backpack. But the quality would have to be stepped considerably to make this something usable for more than 6 months before having to throw it away. I feel that Cocoon knows this and still keeps selling this product with sub-standard workmanship. I feel ripped off and would rather get my money back, or better still, have this bag built so it doesn't fall apart.Bitter sweet for me...

Great pack. Had it a couple of weeks now. Rugged construction. Good materials. The cable management part is the best. Organizes all my stuff. Was surprised at padded bottom to prevent abbrasions. Perfect size to carry surface pro, cables and some paper. All I need for portable work pack and keeps me hands free when walking.

I wanted a small and a compact backpack but this turned out slightly smaller that what i expected. Barely got all my every day carry items in, however love the quality, organization and simplicity.Updated Review from 5 stars to 1 star----The straps tore off.
