My cat has Suds (prone to struvite crystals), which is common in male cats. I was recommended to give him this, and he hasn't had a hospital visit since, so it works well. A huge bag, so it lasts my two cats around 2 months. My cats must like the taste because they run to the bowl every time... or they're just fatties. It doesn't have an overly pungent smell or anything. The ziplock bag keeps the moisture out and makes it easy to pour. I like it, I subscribe to save since it's more expensive, less costly than an ER visit, though!

Pricey but life-saving and I’d prefer paying for this vs. a 2500$ annually
Vet recommended this after first urinary blockage. I tried some of the cheaper competitor’s brands, few of which my picky cat would even touch but the second blockage made it abundantly clear.. my cat requires a HIGH QUALITY rx diet to live. First off my extremely picky cat HAPPILY took right to this with no complaints at all. Pieces are small and oval shaped. Finally and most importantly, I’ve already seen the positive effects of hill’s c/d in my cat. Just prior to starting this diet he had been completely blocked for almost two days and by some miracle he was able to dislodge some of the blockage through straining. After many fruitless urination attempts there was a hard short spray resembling a pressure washer and afterwards more disappointing straining and small amounts of urine. He’s been on this diet for only about three weeks and he’s completely back to normal and with NO VET BILLS! I firmly believe in this products claim to dissolve bladder crystals because I have first-hand witnessed it’s positive effects!

my cats seem to like it
One of my 2 tabby cats went through the dreaded bladder crystal blockage nightmare this winter. After a fast $1k, and 2 surgeries the Vet strongly suggests keeping him on this food from now on. To keep things simple, both my cats are now eating a prescription diet. The one that was ill, is a very picky eater, but he took right to this new kibble and seems to like it. The other one, he'll eat anything and ask for seconds. The cost of this food seems pretty much universal where ever you go, so Amazon automatic order every 3 months for convenience. When I first got my cats, they ate Hills kibble for a long time, for some reason I began buying Iams. Iams being comparable in price and quality from what I could gather for information. To my point. After a lot of time and energy looking into this medical issue, the only logical conclusion points to capitalizing on the pain and expense of pets and their owners. If this condition can be corrected with diet, what is in the other foods causing it and why do they continue to use it? From what I gather, this is becoming a very common condition with cats and from where I stand it looks like they are willing to sell you the problem and solution. This kibble has been keeping my 4 legged roommates healthy and happy so far, and I will keep buying it as long as that stays the same. I cannot help but to feel that I (we) am being taken advantage of and a countless number of animals needlessly suffer in the name of profit. What's more, consider all those who cannot afford such care for their companions.

Very expensive cat food but seems to be helping
This is prescription cat food so your vet will have to approve it, but my cat seems to like it and he's been eating it which hasn't been the case with other food. He was very sick and my vet recommended this food which seems to be helping him get back to normal.
