For my hair, which is fine but thick and gets greasy very quickly (sometimes on the same day I wash it), I'll use the clear formula if my hair has just become greasy, but if I'm lazy and don't feel like washing my hair a day later when it's greasy, I'll use the colored dry shampoo to brighten it up - I also find that the color shampoo adds more body than the clear formula and it also smells really good.
