I use this product for energy and wellbeing. I recently celebrated my sixty-fifth birthday on November 13, 2023, and with the seasonal change in the climate and lack of sunshine, I was getting run down and lacking in energy. Initially, I took the product for the first week just before my morning exercise routine, but I noticed no results whatsoever. However, after adjusting my approach and taking it in the evening about one hour to thirty minutes (varies) before bedtime with almond milk, every morning since my first night, I wake up ready to go with energy that lasts all day long. In my late 40s to mid-50s, when I gave up on it, I was using another amino product (Gen20X), which felt like rocket fuel. However, I had to discontinue it because some of the amino acids in that product were causing insulin resistance and elevating my blood sugar levels. DaVinci's amino acids, on the other hand, are healthier and do not impact blood sugar, making it a suitable and safe alternative for me.

This is essentially 5 amino acids in powder form. If you're after the HGH benefits, it needs to be taken at night, the Arginine/Ornithine drive the HGH production that naturally happens in your body, and that happens in the first couple hours of sleep. The Glutamine is good for reducing muscle soreness and recovery. The Lysine supports protein synthesis and collagen production. The Glycine supports sleep. This product does not mix easily, the various amino acids have different properties so some dissolve and others sink. The flavor is multi-faceted, at times sweet, other times minerally/salty. It's a good product, and I'm glad they at least don't put flavoring/sweeteners in it, but I would personally prefer this in capsules.

I have just begun recently to take supplemental amino acids. I am hoping to give my older (68 years old) body more support as it ages. So far, I am really healthy and fairly fit, but watching friends and relatives slowly declining health has me thinking more about what I might do to prevent that. Supplementing amino acids seems like a harmless thing to do, and certainly might be really helpful. It's too soon for me to know if this is making any difference, but I am pleased so far with the ease of taking this, and with the ingredients. I mix a small amount into my morning coffee / collagen / homemade low sugar cocoa, and haven't noticed any taste whatsoever. I also tried just a bit by itself, and didn't detect any taste (but it was a VERY small amount I tried by itself). The powder is a very fine consisitency, and mixed easily into my hot beverage, with no clumping at all.

Your body already produces the bulk of the benefits of this supplement via non essential amino acids it produces. The body does not produce Lysine, an essential amino acid that helps the body produce collagen, absorb minerals and heal from injuries among others. What your body does not produce you obtain from your diet of protein rich foods/etc. to pay over $80 for 30 servings of what your body mostly already produces is way to pricey for the implied benefits. Also, since there is no FDA regulation of these supplements, there is no minimum RDA stated or implied.

I appreciate the transparency of this supplement, that it has no added sugar or flavoring. In this case though, I almost wish it had a little something to flavor it. The only way I can describe the taste is “weird water”. No other criticisms or adverse reactions. I’ll keep trying it for awhile, monitor how it makes me feel and decide if the pros outweigh the taste.Edit: after using this for several days, I am already used to the taste and don’t find it unpleasant anymore. And I do like how this supplement makes me feel, a real boost of clarity and focus. (For reference, I use post-workout.) Hence, I revise my rating to 5 stars.
