Authentic Himalayan Yak Cheese for Dogs - Small (Pack of 10) - Sourced from Pristine Himalayan Foothill, Rawhide-Free, NO preservatives

I've bought the medium and large sizes of these. The large size is harder pressed than the medium in my opinion. My 2yr old boxer has been working on the large size for about 30 minutes and took an inch off (see the photo with one she chewed and a new one). In the same time, she took off about half of the medium one (3 inches).Usually, as the she gnaws on it, very small crumbly bits come off of it. But I made the mistake of washing off some dirt on the medium sized ones and then put it away. The next day when it had dried, very sharp, hard glass-like shards were coming off of it instead so I couldn't give it back to the dogs (see photos). I would recommend just drying it with a paper towel before putting it away if you're going to break up chewing sessions with your dog.

My boy really likes them but they're very big. I wanted to cut them but they have the physical properties of cured epoxy! Could not cut them with a knife at all.Here's a way to cut them to size. I cut each bar into three pieces.You'll need something like a spaghetti pot. Put all the pieces and cover them about an inch of water. Bring to a boil and let it stay hot.After about 8 minutes take one out and put it on a folded-over towel, like shown in the photo.You need to use a very strong and sharp knife, like a butcher knife or hunting knife.Push straight down on the handle and on the tip of the blade, like in the photo. Put a small towel on the tip of the blade.Be careful because you're going to use a lot of force. It takes most of my upper body weight to push the knife through.If it seems to slow down and get hard in the middle, put it back in the hot water and wait another few minutes. It takes a while for the inside to get hot.Repeat this process for all the pieces as you wish.Put them on a plate or pan to cool down for an hour or so before giving them to your dog. They resume their very hard nature after cooling.There is very little dissolving of the pieces in the hot water.

The media could not be loaded.  Our dog Penelope (Minpin/Chihuahua) can go through an appropriately sized rawhide in under 10 minutes. We gave her this chewy almost 2 hours ago. She's only stopped to get a drink of water 2x. She's normally a horrible beggar at dinnertime but we were able to eat in peace today. We're very happy puppy parents! The picture of the chewy alone is what it looked like when we took it away from her after working on it for 2 solid hours.

This X-Large Himalayan yak chew seems similar or identical in composition to several other brands we have tried. But, this chew is longer and thicker. (Have to say it: That's what SHE said!) Our puppy likes it as much as any of the others. Because of its size, it is/will last an extremely long time. Puppy has not been able to make much of a dent in it. The longevity of these yak chews is the primary benefit, and the obsessive chewer is entertained for many hours at a time. Because this one is so hard, it is possible that he may like to switch off to one of our normal-size yak chews that seem a little bit easier to chew. But, overall, any yak chew should be able to keep your dog chewing and entertained, without any hazard of shards. I've seen some reviews mention shards -- but I have yet to see anything remotely like a shard coming off of any of our yak chews.

Will continue to purchase this item. Dog loves it, lasts the longest of all chews. Has always arrived in one piece, not like the broken ones in the stores. Multiple re-orders on this item. Always arrives in one piece. Update: Continue to purchase this product. Have never once received them broken. Update: I continue to order these. They are absolutely great. Only thing the dog doesn't chew up in 10 min Multiple time purchaser. Love this product. When it gets too small for my dog to safely chew on it, I soak it in water and then microwave. It turns into a big cheeto, so he gets to eat every single bit. No waste.

Just got two of them today and love them already!Likes:-Long lasting entertainment for my young golden retriever and older beagle-Does not stain the carpet or the dog’s face/legs-Does not produce shards or small pieces on your floor-Cleans dogs’ teeth-The dogs love the flavor-Does not upset the dog’s tummyCons:If you are in close proximatey (about 1-2 ft) of the dog you can smell the chew. Kind of a strong smokey/ashey smell. Blah!All in all, these are the best chews! I will definitely be buying more for my dog’s! :)

My 18 pound jack Russell terrier LOVES these chews and she is a very picky eater (we have to hand feed her so she will eat). She is very energetic and loves to play, and when she sees these treats she jumps up and down and take the treat in another room to play and chew on them. These are great because they last long and they keep my dog company. Like I said she is a picky eater and has a sensitive stomach and these are great for her. We've been buying these treats for months and she still loves them unlike other treats that she gets sick of after a week. They also have a pleasant smoked cheese sent to them :) This company is also very professional and cares about their customers and gives very quick reposes to all my questions. Highly recommend these Himalayan dog chews to anyone with a doggo.

My French bull dog is a very aggressive chewer so it’s hard to fine something she doesn’t go through in a day,this bone is hard no nasty smell and doesn’t leave any stains on her dog bed.It helps to keep her teeth nice and clean and she loves this bone another nice thing is when it gets down to where I would normally throw it away I pop it into the microwave for about 45 seconds and it puffs up so she can finish it so there’s no waste like other types of bones.Price isn’t bad for the large size. Will be buying more,would be nice if they made a package with the x-large size that was more affordable,but all in all it’s a great product and I like to support small family run businesses that are made in the USA.

My dog loves these chews! It’s great to know that there are no additives and most importantly these chews are long lasting!

My dog doesn’t like it and I can’t return it….I’m very disappointed.
